Maybe we should try Landry against West. West is too athletic for Scola or Hayes

If Rockets start the second half with same offense challenged lineup, I suspect Hornets will go up by teens and that will be the ball game.

I have to agree. Hopefully he'll come back with a vengeance.

Brooks IS playing a bit out of control.

Yep, someone needs to tell him to stop making Hayes and Alston miss wide open layups.

The Rockets should have kept Landry in.

By playing guys who do a better job of defending him.... namely Hayes.

The offense has been stagnant mainly because Yao has been a non-factor since the opening minutes. If he's not scoring while he's out there, this team has a hard time finding offense (whereas when he's not out there, it actually is allowing several players to contribute).

Yao needs to post up deep and pass out/re-post if he gets the ball too far outside, regardless of whether or not he's under single coverage. This team thrives when everybody gets lots of touches and when he sets up, dribbles and shoots it's hurting the ball movement.

The biggest offensive liability out there right now is Yao. The offense is designed to get him the ball where he's getting it right now... Chandler is just doing a great job of bodying up to him and affecting his rhythm.

    Wrong. One bad play.

Bonzi and Scola were playing wild. Brooks made one mistake. No player plays perfectly. Paul made more mistakes than Brooks.

One more thing, there's no double coming on Yao so it's pointless to wait for one.

    Tellin it like it is.

Brooks had one bad play. What player didn't make a bad play in the 1st half.

Not accurate to say he is playing out of control because of one play.

Didn't we try that already? West is too big, too strong for Landry. I think Hayes would be the best to guard him, but then you lose a lot of offense.

Nonsense. The Rockets would much rather have Yao get the ball deep. Listen to Bullard/Drexler talk about how Chandler is pushing Yao out of the blocks.

The Hornets have made some adjustments. I'm sure they looked at game tape from the last stretch and figured out that Yao has been killing the opposition by passing out of the double to cutters and shooters at the 3 point line. Guess what? No double team, and Yao's been caught waiting after the pass looking for one. He's got to post up deeper in the second half so he can just catch and make his move immediately.

Shane has taken zero shots. He needs to be more aggressive in the second half.

Yao is not going to put 30 points on the board every night. His teammtes have to help him on offense but when 2/5 of your team in Battier and Hayes contribute nothing on offense and with Rafer struggling today, it does not help.

Blowing leyups definately does not help. How the heck does Hayes miss a layup when no one is 5 feet from him?!?!?! I am sorry but that's downright pathetic.

Everyone for Hornets is an offensive threat. Heck even Bowen contributed to Hornets on offense. While Rockets have liabilities which are being exploited.

Hayes will work against weaker teams. Good teams will exploit that matchup all day.

When Shane is aggressive on offense, he plays even worse.

    Shane doesn't have that ability.
