I wanted to start a new thread for this because of the day/time switch. I'll be joining host David Nuño and Fred Fauor, former editor with the Houston Chronicle on 1560am the Game at 9am on Sundays -- we'll be talking Rockets for a full hour and taking calls. I just want to say to everyone who has commented that I appreciate the support. I'd love to talk about whatever Rockets topics you guys want to discuss, so please do call in. Call-in number: 713-439-1560. You can listen in locally at 1560 on the AM radio dial or from anywhere in the world through their website: http://www.1560thegame.com/ Thanks again, Clutch
Dave - I really enjoy listening to you talk Rox bball, but usually am not able to hear it live. Could you post them on the site afterwards so I can hear them later. I understand if this is a lot of work. Peace
I've got to set my alarm to remember this. Sunday morning sports talk is usually not on my radar. Thanks for the heads up.
im going to try to make it up and call in, it'll be good to have a conversation with our leader btw, walker, the one from last week is on their website via Podcast, I have it on my Zune, can't get enough of Juqauin
Hey Clutch, Unlikely that I will get up at 9am on a Sunday morning.... Why don't you take one or two questions from the BBS and answer them on air a well? That would be pretty neato for us who are lazy scum bags on Sunday's and are working on Thursdays. My question would be this to you: When T-mac comes back, which player's minutes will be reduced the most?
Can you call-out Mike James on the show? I really want him to get into the rotation because using a rookie to back up our point guard is asking for a disaster in the Playoffs (Unless he is as good as Sam Cassell)
Woah, come on now...Clutch has been one of Mike James biggest supporters. Has James sunk so low that you have given up on him Clutch? Has the worm turned? For the record, I agreed with Clutch, and thought MJ would be a nice fit for Adelman, I was wrong....MJ does not work well without the ball. He is going to be wasted here in Houston, trade him for a pick if possible and bring back Mike Harris. DD
If I can make it I am definitely calling in... maybe if I tell them I am calling long distance they will make me first. I will wanna talk about New Orleans and their pick and roll that caused us so much trouble last year... and if maybe the fact that Yao staying in the post instead of going all the way out defensively on the pnr will help us to protect the paint more and hopefully shut the Hornets down. (this is a heads up in advance Clutch so you can be prepared) Defense rocks!
Mike is going to click, I mean he has to sooner or later. Man , other Mike really impressed you, but you know he's not coming back! Too bad, I think he'd be better fit than these ones but I guess we were blinded by names when camp started.
Clutch, I know you've already thought through all the stories to cover this week. But, thought I'd throw in a few thoughts ... So, what is David Nunez' moniker on clutchfans? Remind them, that even if people don't listen live to the program, that probably thousands of members listen to the clip later. I agree, you probably do have a future in radio. Clutch you're very smooth and sharp. We at Clutchfans are proud of you. Can you guys discuss what you think happened during this time with TMac? He was being accused of all sorts of stuff, but I don't think most people realize he actually had 3 injuries, and his play was affected. He wasn't soft. He probably should have come out after the first injury, not played through them. Plus, I don't think his discouragement was due to his refusal to buy into Adelman's system, but because these additional players he was excited about weren't adjusting as fast as he was, and they couldn't hit the side of a barn when he passed to them. Once the rest of the league saw that, they swarmed Yao and TMac, "figuring them out." I'm not saying that there isn't a question of whether the TMac/Yao combo will still work, but I think everyone has looked for a scapegoat to explain our failure to date, and they've piled on TMac. Also, TMac and Morey have come out to say he didn't ask to be traded, and Morey hasn't fielded or made calls for trading Tracy. But, there sure was a lot of smoke, and the denials were very specifically worded. Morey didn't say he didn't talk to anyone, he made it specific to calling. Maybe he emailed. I'm sure you're already planning on discussing this, but if you guys can interact on anything that brings clarity, that would be great. I may not get to listen to it live, but I will listen to the clip. Thanks ... this is too fun. Who would have thought 10 years ago, that it would have developed to this?
They were switching my phone line on and I got disconnected, so it will probably be another 5 minutes or so.
Am listening through the internet. It's fun. Pitty I can't call. It's 23:00 here in China and I don't wanna wake the family up ... Do they have email sth that I can post my question?
hey guys good show but its sunday and its church so i gotta go right now good job i'll try to skip next week XD
What needs to be different when Tmac comes back in order for the team to build upon it's current success? DD
I think Deke and Scola play together may be more effective than Hayes and Scola. In general, don't know why Deke not getting more minutes that he did...
