yes 2K8 is fun, the Rockets are unstoppable in that game. Yao has handles and catches any ball intended to him, t-mac drives to the hoop(no passion issues here) and players actually make shots.

If only real life could be like that.

It's improved. I've noticed a lot more layup animations, especially with guys like TMac. The AI really seems to run their plays more precise and will take advantage of matchup advantages. If you somehow get a guard on one of their big men, they WILL kill you posting hin up.

I read the long list of things they addressed in the patch, but I haven't noticed a huge difference. But, it definately improved.

Why don't we try to set up a league again? I'm pretty sure 2k has the kinks worked out on the online league mode by now.

Does anyone have some good sliders? I can never find the balance between not being able to hit a single shot and blowing teams out by 40 even on the most difficult setting.

Try operationsports.com. I go there a lot for sliders, rosters, etc. There are people who spend their whole damn lives figuring out every detail to get the games to play as realistic as possible. There are three posters there that collaborated to make a few roster sets that are VERY detailed (created 100+ players). Check those out if you have some way of transferring the files to your 360, because they are pretty damn good.

I finally got the game and it's great. It's hard though(for me at least.) The moment a lay off a defensive assignment it's automatic the other team will hit the shot.

It doesn't always work that way when I take wide open shots even if they are lay ups.

Anyway, I've created my own players and my own team, but I can't seem to play a season with that team, or or do the Association mode with that team.

Maybe there's an easy way to do it, that I'm missing. I probably just can't find the right menu.

The instruction book is pretty light on anything dealing with created teams and players.

Pretty sure you just have to turn on "customize league" when you start a new season. You should be able to replace an existing team with your created one.

Has anyone ever managed to do a putback dunk in this game? I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

You just have to hold the "aggressive" button and go up for the board at the exact right time... it helps if you have a bit of a run-up, too. Most of the time you'll just attempt a tip-in, but occasionally you'll get a putback dunk.

Love the game, but the online play is not smooth at all. Played a game online and it's like the timing for everything is completely off. Even if I try to quick release a jump-shot to adjust for the super-delay it still ends up releasing on the way down. And free throws are a b****. I'm normally an 85% shooter with anyone, and I only made 3/18 online. I only play with my friends offline.
