Luke: "What's in there?" Yoda: "Only what you take with you." Your own mindset caused you to sense the sour taste.
He has to be on the block. The rockets office would be a group of morons NOT to be entertaining ideas about getting rid of him. Great player when he wants to be. But when he wants to be is becoming a rare situation
1. He implicitly denied that rumor by stating that he never said anything about wanting to be traded. 2. He is right. This has been the easiest part of our schedule to date. It was the only logical answer. What was he supposed to say? Because I am a cancer to our team? I think the team may have gone 8-1 or 9-0 if T-Mac was playing during this stretch. There were already signs of Adelman's system starting to work before T-Mac got injured. The Chicago game was one example even if they were a bad team. The win against Detroit was another. T-Mac haters are just always looking for an opportunity to point fingers at him.
T-Mac's not going anyware and I hate to say it b/c I love this site but it's become a joke. The amount of unsubtianted gargabe and mud slinging towards the guy is pathetic. Can't wait til he comes back and the Rox roll deep into the playoffs so you all eat all your pure hatred. Go Rockets!
If there is any problem with how the team plays when T-Mac is in the lineup, it is that McGrady is so talented that players naturally tend to lean on him. Kobe has had the same problem in recent years in LA. Now that Kobe's teammates are playing better, they have gained confidence in themselves and Kobe has gained confidence in them. I think T-Mac will do the same thing Kobe is doing now if his teammates continue to play well when he returns. T-Mac has no problem with sharing the ball more if it makes the team better. The problem is that our role players lacked confidence in the past and preferred giving the ball to McGrady. It is on them to continue playing well when Tracy returns. If they do, this ridiculous concept of the team being better without McGrady will be a thing of the past. Instead, the Rockets will be an even better team by adding McGrady to the mix.
I just think its amazing that a guy like Garnett never made it out of the 1st rd until cassel and sprewell was there. The next 2 yrs his team was in the lotto. Tracy in Toronto was on the vince carter show. He went to magic and played with hardly no talent. In Houston he has had Yao, but no one else. The Rox losing in 7 games are as much his fault is it is Yao's. I remember not to long ago this board was about rox fans. It wasn't really about one guy or another. Whe the rox won 22 games without Yao, I don't remember any trade threads or wondering if the team plays better without him. It was like when Yao gets back, the rox are really going to roll. As I stated b4, people call tracy injury prone, but since he's been here, yao has played 1 more game than tracy. Lets stop the hate and just support the squad.
I like how people keep pointing to the Chicago game as some great example of how McGrady wasn't stopping the offense or the break from running. Even though he didn't play that many minutes that game and the team took off when he went out. If they had won that game without him, it would be more evidence of a "weak schedule". You can't have it both ways.
yes, i agree. my own mindset caused me to sense the sour taste. AND that's because the sour taste was there so my mind sensed it. lol. great leadership demonstrated by #1 by degrading his team's achievements.
Oh please, give me a break...your translations are good but your damn annoying when you give us your opinion on ANYTHING
Actually I think T-Mac was saying that to further diffuse trade talks, I think it may have come out wrong. By saying the team has had it easy, it doesnt make his absence look like they are as better without him as some are saying. And yes, his words left no sour taste in my mouth, nor many others. Just like the Clemens thing, Your own POV will greatly determine what you see about someone's words or body language. Some see T-Mac's lazy eye and assume laziness. Others see it as something he was born with and doesnt really translate to on-court performance.
I admit one of the reasons of the winning streak is the easy schedule. But what harm will it make if TMAC pay tribute to his team mates and said something nice about their effort, energy and intensity instead of just saying some morale-sapping crap like "Hey, it is just the easy schedule.....and they have not met any strong teams yet." ? Think what Big Yao, Rafer Alston, Shane Battier, Bonzi Wells, Luis Scola will think on his comments after they had worked their @$$es off, stepped up to manage the current winning streak.
QFT LOL at everyone taking this as a positive reflection of Tmac. If anything it shows how insecure and me-first he really is.
Tracy, we love you. You have incredible talent. Your A game, consistently delivered, is enough to win championships. Get well. We want you back. And when you come back, ask how you can fit into the team, not how the team can fit you. Because if we have to choose between you playing your old style and the other 7 or 8 guys playing the team style we've seen from them lately, we'll take the latter, and our best recourse will be to trade you.
The $64 question is: does Tracy McGrady want a trade? I believe how he takes care of his business if er, I mean when he returns will demonstrate that clearly for all to see. I also believe he will only return if er, I mean when he plans on staying.
don't your own words prove you had a pre-set mind? lol. True or not, as a so-called leader, you don't put down the accomplishments of your teammates. If I'm not mistaken, with McGrady, the Rockets have lost to Memphis (10-25), Miami (8-28), Sacramento (14-20) and Philadelphia (14-23). --Fran this is what i read from fran's blog today. maybe he had a twisted and pre-determined mindset just like me, as i fully agree to his comments.
Funny how Tmac led the team to a 21-12 record without Yao last year beating up on a soft portion of the schedule, but you never heard Yao degrade his teamates for that... DD
