The condition of Bonzi Wells

We will defiantly need him against New Orleans. I hope he plays that game.

 

According to BillWorrell Bonzi needed to rest because of the shoulder but should be ready for NOH.

Also, Bonzi Wells missed Friday's game because of a sprained left shoulder. Jones said Wells suffered the injury in the Rockets' 103-83 win in Memphis on Dec. 28.

Wells scored 25 points against Boston on Jan. 2, but his scoring and minutes steadily declined over the next four games. He played less than 17 minutes and scored only two points in the Rockets' 101-92 win over New York on Wednesday.

Jones said Wells got a painkilling injection and doctors recommended that he sit out Friday's game. Jones expected Wells to practice on Saturday and play in Houston's next game, against New Orleans on Sunday

They say he is expected to play on Sunday.

 

I hope he sits out more. Hes been making some real boneheaded mistakes lately.

With a Battier/BOnzi combo, you could flop them, with Battier/Landry, its a bit better for Batts.

 

yes, he was playing great before the injury, shoulder injury affect your arms because you can't raise your arms....didn't he had a string of 20-pts games before the injury?, but anyways...hopes he gets back soon...he is the only one i seen that cuts to the basket (on a consistent basis) whenever Yao have the ball

 

I hope so but no so sure. He has had some really bad touch lately so hopefully it is his shoulder holding him back.

Bonzi needs to try and dunk everything near the basket. Because if he doesn't dunk, it misses the layup badly.

I thought he was a little sloppy on defense early in the season, but has performed admirably since then. He is smart, knows the offense, has good hands on defense for deflections and steals, and can rebound well. If he can help us beat SA, then he will be worth quadruple what we pay him. My only complaint about Bonzi is that he probably is going to bolt this summer for more money.
