Do not think Paxon will give that much, he didn´t want to give deng for garnett so i doubt he´ll give us this much for and actually injured T-Mac, to m e the bulls offer will be Gordon-Nocioni-Duhon + Fillers (maybe Noah)

All good points although I thought I read that Deng was on the table all along and the Lakers just balked. I could be wrong but I could have sworn that's how it went down.

Youth, athleticism, speed and upside are the components of the today's NBA that I feel are most important. Because of that I would want Deng and Tyrus Thomas as the basis for any deal. Deng, if nothing else, to replace T-Mac as our default starter.

I realize there's about $12 million of unaccounted for salary in that deal so take your pick among Hinrich or Nocioni's BYC deals. Anything but Ben Wallace's franchise-killer deal.

I like the way that journalist cut and pasted quotes, and made it seem that Yao preferred the team without T-Mac. Yeah, right. If he added the rest of what Yao said, the picture he painted would have been very different. Ah well, that's what journalists do, I guess.

This is just terrible reporting. Take a quote out of context here and a quote out of context there and soon you have painted a giant mess in Rocket Land that can only be resolved by trading TMac. So now Chicago believes they have a shot at Tmac but I doubt Morey is even considering it and if he did I would think no deng no trade.

Ben Wallace = overpaid older Chuck Hayes
Luol Deng = less range, more efficient McGrady
    1st rounder non-protected

I think that deal sounds pretty good to me. It essentially turns the bulls into the lakers east (the lakers two years ago).

As I said, I'm not keen on this trade but, if Morey is intent on continuing to screw the team, what I like about it is that Deng is younger and sturdier than T-Mc. Wallace gives us a really good back-up for Scola and his contract ultimately will give us nice cap relief or a decent player for an expiring.

The draft choice, especially unprotected, could yield a really good player (Beasley, Rose?) as long as Morey doesn't have another Rudy Gay trade wreck.

I don't really want to refer to sources right now so I'll just say this is opinion. If the Bulls call to offer Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon and Ben Wallace, would you take it? The Rockets wouldn't. Would the Rockets instead ask for Luol Deng? Probably. Would the Bulls then do it? I don't think so.

Hinrich is the only good piece out of that package, and he's having the worst season of his career so far. Ben Gordon is a nice player, but a rich man's Luther Head who already has turned down $10 million a season. Something tells me Luther will take less than that.

Ben Wallace looks like an overpaid mistake.

As for others, I confess I haven't watched much of Joakim Noah, but holy cow that was the ugliest shot I've ever seen when he took that 15-footer against us a few weeks back. Hard to say what Tyrus Thomas is going to be, but looking awfully Swift-like right now. They should have stuck with LaMarcus Aldridge.

Ben Wallace would be utterly useless on this team. He can't play the four and he would back up a player that plays 40 minutes a night. His only "use" in this matter would be his disasterous contract needed in order to facilitate this trade which is precisely why if we take on that mess we damn well better be receiving Deng, at the very least.

Not to mention making him Yao's backup would kind of be a slap in the face to Deke. Deke, who basically did us a favor by coming back instead of going to Boston where he would actually play (?!Scott Pollard, Leon Powe, Kenrick Perkins?!).

For the last time, Deng wasn't a deal breaker for the Bulls. He was included - BUT Kobe wanted to play WITH him, and refused to go to Chi if he wasn't there too. If I'm the Rockets, I start at Deng, Tyrus, and match salaries from there. That would be a great trade for both teams, IMO

If the Rockets were to make a blockbuster trade this year since we have all been shown that we can win without the "Morphine drip" make it just that BLOCKBUSTER!!!

IMO this would be a kinda lopsided deal but it's an interesting one

    Houston gets
    1) Ben Gordon
    2) Kirk Hindrich
    3) Andres Nocioni
    4) Ben Wallace

    We give the Bulls
    1) Mac
    2) Shane Battier
    3) the other Kirk on our team
    4) Mike James

    4-starters for 2 :D

You don't think Wallace could do pretty much the same things Chuck does?

I would not do that trade. Like you said, Hinrich is the only bright spot of the trade and Hinrich does not equal T-Mac. Gordon gives us yet another scoring undersized 2 guard. Ben Wallace should have stayed in Detroit, plus I rather stick with Scola/Hayes.

I think Chicago is just starting rumors because they lost out on Kobe Bryant. So now, they're looking for the next "superstar" that seems to be having problems. Hmmm, Mcgrady looks to be that guy. The Bulls are desperate. They haven't had a "Superstar" type player since some guy named Jordan. Bulls are just looking for a savior and too bad it won't be Tracy McLovin.

LAWL, this hack of a reporter is just taking quotes and rumors from others and spinning them together to make it sound like he has a real story about how available McGrady is.

I think they might give Luol at this point. Of course, they would probably make us eat Wallace's contract if they gave him up. I don't think that would be all that bad. I think his problem is more with motivation than losing a step

Too slow, akward and uncoordinated. Any team with a PF with range should be able to pulverize us with him at the four. Not to mention how bad he would look playing next to Yao against the uptempo teams.

i've been seeing this pop up a lot more this year now that battier semi-sucks and gay is "so great"...whereas in the past, apparently this was a CD move with Morey as an apprentice.

Has something changed? Was this a Morey move or a CD move?

So does all this trade talk disappear if Tracy comes back and throws up 40 in his first or second game back?

The Chicago media is starting rumors, but what you forget is the Bulls once wanted Tmac at the same time Orlando signed him, they almost built a team with Tmac Artest and a few other scary and solid players.

Right after they missed out on that, Krause retired so who knows, but the Bulls need an inside prescence not another guard.

Let me make one more statement here (and about all the other 'insightful trade rumor articles'):

I can check out the hottest girl I see tonight. I'm sure within a 20 ft radius every guy is doing the same thing. I could even muster up the courage to talk to her and ask her out. It doesn't mean she's even the slightest bit interested.

Might as well grab Sefolosha since that's who the Rockets really wanted. :D ;)
