I would say Scola´s votes are quite an index, he has +300k votes argentinean votes were about 60k for ginobili when he came to the league, so we could measure that 150-200k of scola´s votes are chinese.

The same goes for mcgrady and Yao, anyway the position in the balloting will be quite the same.

Come one, guys, We also have our favorite players besides Yao, I voted for JAMES and Tim Duncan, D howard ,too. Honestly speaking, I don't think there is any other better center than Yao in the west.So of course, Yao will get our votes .He just deserves it.

Forgive my poor English, I hope this is clear enough and won't cause any misunderstanding.

Yi's not on the ballot but he's still ahead of guys like Pierce(I think) etc with written-in votes. That does indicate that a lot of votes are coming from China. Having said that, I think Yao's popularity amongst people around the world and not just in China is what got him in.

i didnot do that this year cos i did not think yao was the best center in the league at that time.Yeah, normally i evaluate the candidates around the whole league, not just west conference. If i think yao is the best center in the league, then i will go to vote for both of east and west. And right now, i wonder if i will do that 2moro

I vote for Scola, Battier, McGrady, and Yao and leave the rest blank every day.
Oh and I alternate between all the other players as the write-in.

Yao doesn't rank top 1 in this year's vote, which just apparently shows that most of the votes ain't from China. after all, it's the 6th all-star for Yao, n chinese fans r not so passinate as before to vote for him.

That's because Chinese people are not motivated at all at this point since Yao is clearly #1 in his position. If Tim Duncan in the same position (Centers), more Chinese fans will vote Yao and he would get much many votes than now.

    Let truth be told!!

You should already know that Yi is currently in the 5th place in his position in Eastern Conference, with only write-in votes. Watch out next year when he will be in the voting list. He could very well be a starter ... that I am sure will piss off a lot of guys here ... ha ha ha :D

If he scores 0 points in 2 minute play in all star game, see how embarrassed NBA will be. It's like William Hung or Sanjaya has won American Idol ... ;)
