During this recent winning streak, there have been a few threads about trading T-Mac and such. I started a thread about why u can't build around Yao. The point of what I really want to happen is happening. If the Rox are to consider themselves any kind of force in the west, they have to beat the avg teams without tracy or yao. Last yr while yao was out for 34 games, they beat the avg teams and a couple of good teams. This yr without tracy they have beat 1 avg team and a bunch of sorry teams. I like what I'm seeing in ming especially when he wants to dominate and it bodes well for the future goals of this team. All this stuff about trading tracy makes no sense at all. I don't think u can trade ur best player because the team has beaten some scrubs. What the rix have done is all that we've asked for while tracy is out. When he was out 7 games last yr, just beating the avg teams would have given the team more wins. The rox aren't going to get cute with this whole thing, its only going to make the rox that much better and actually help them beat the top teams in the playoffs. I'm not going to say the regular season don't matter, but the whole goal is about developing chemistry and depth for the post season. We don't want to get in a situation like last yr when 4 guys scored in 1 game. I've always said this team this would be better equiped to survive tracy being out a few games. The talent and depth is being developed so production in the offseason. Keep the train moving and everything will be all right. Avoid the spurs in the 1st rd at all cost.
Of all the teams, I believe we match up against the Spurs the best when we have Yao the beast. Bowen will make McPippen his biatch but Yao usually owns the Spurs frontline. Baskeball is like football, it's about matchups and we match up really well against the Spurs.
Imagine if we barely make the playoffs and end up in the 8th seed. It makes me laugh imagining the top seed (whether it be the Mavs, Suns, or Spurs) thinking... "Man... we played so hard and well... to play the ROCKETS in the first round?! WTF..." As much as we don't want to face one of those teams in the first round, they are thinking the exact same thing about us.
Your ave/srub team theory is BS at most. Rox lost to a scrub team in your opinion name Phily 76ers with both Yao and Tmac on team. And your must called good teams Portland and San Antonio got a 5-10/ 6-8 road record. Winning road games against whatever teams are crucial and important and mostly difficult NOW. We beat Magic/Wizards/Knicks on road! The most important part of the winning is the offense flow is now far more smooth than before. Guys are starting to step up besides the constant yaoza contribution. Stop this we-only-beat-a-couple-below-.50-team bs. A win is a Win. By the end of day, what really counts is how many wins you get not how many so called ****ing good teams you beat.
there's a reason why our role players are playing so good, and why they played so badly last season. Not many role players like or are good at standing around and just shooting 3s.
One thing about me is I don't post and run. I think the Rox should have beat the teams they beat without mcgrady. I mean beating the wizards without arenas isn't that major to me. Beating the Knicks twice shouldn't be looked ar as major. I think the rox should beat those teams anyway. Losing to the 76ers was inexusable period. Look, I'm just glad that they're beating teams they should beat. The orlando game was a pleasant surprise, the others was a should've won type games. Call it bs or what, but those should've game from last yr were losses. This year, the rox are winning those games. If yao dominates like he did last night, some of those other games will be a surprise also.
Tmac regularly kills Bruce Bowen. He probably does better against Bowen then almost anyone else does. Where did you come up with Bowen owning Tmac?
