Did last year's Yao-less record have anything to do with T-Mac? No. It was the supporting players steppin up, like JH, Motombo, ...

The better part now is: Yao doesn't dominate the ball. Yao is truely unselfish, is willing to admit that he didn't play well when that happens, and he never gives up.

With JVG as the coach, you have to rely on T-Mac to run the offense, as JVG is not very good at it. This is also why T-Mac-less team struggled under JVG.

With new coach, the team can still run offense without T-Mac. Suppose this year T-Mac has to sit out for a long stretch, I have quite some confidence that this team will match similar record as last year's Yao-less period.

With $20M missing, we won't go very far.
Replace that $20M for some durable goods, we will be better off.

Thank You. The majority of our recent wins have came against bad teams. Let's not over hype the team only to fall face first like in the beginning of the season.

Before this season, the Rockets couldn't win at all with Yao as the head man, but did fine with TMac. Now they proved that they can beat the average teams without TMac, but they haven't proved if they can do the same against the good teams yet.

People have a short memory about things. This team played better when Yao was out last season than this season when TMac was out, I remember some trade-Yao threads then; now we see the 'trade-TMac' threads. pathetic!

That's bull**** to talk about someone only.

Yao is a good player just doin' his own job.

T-Mac stays same, whatever you call him good or bad.

Team is everything, just like Tim's team.

No brothers, no team, no basketball, no champion.

I don't care who's team is. I RA's system, T-mac also can lead the team to win without Yao. It depends on the role players.

Yao is doing his role but he is not carrying the team single handily. It's not like hes dropping 30/20 all of the sudden... Yao's stats are the same with Tmac or without... so hes not the guy that stepped it up the past 7 games.

It's actually Rafer, Head and Brooks who are playing better basketball in the last 7 games. All their stats were dramatically increased ever since Tmac went out.

Now before all your YOF label me as a Yao hater (again) just check the stats... numbers don't lie.

This is my team. I call the shots.

    5/6 wins

When this board went to hell after that Detroit lass, I said this team would win 10 of the next 12. Everyone was talking about tanking/trades.

Ok, I don't need to feed my ego like this, but a lot of you kids drive us men insane.

I am not one of the guys who say this is whose team. But your logic is so r****ded that it made me laugh my ass off (and I am still laughing now when I type out this post).

According to your r****ded logic, supposed Yao has been averaging 30/20 and he is still getting 30/20 now, then he has not stepped up. Correct? His teammates have played better and got easier baskets now and there is absolutely nothing to do with him stepping up? Yeah right, the numbers on the stats sheet can help to prove that you are not a moron. LOL

I don't know who is a YOF in this thread here. But from your past post you definitely a SYOBH.

Yao getting 30 points a game really makes sense for a team whose new motto is "Share the damn ball".

I disagree. Yao had 20+ points in these games plus 4+ assists, 10 boards, a couple blocks. Monster numbers. More important Yao is the anchor of this offense, his presence makes other teammates' job easier. Without Yao on the court, we just have to scrap for points. With Yao, we have clear goal and running plays. The only thing is at times we make poor decision, especially when plays are broken. This is one area we need to improve. We wont win games like tonight against elite teams.
