Bonzi is where he is now. It's hard for him to improve something anymore.

I do think Yao was dominating the game when you looked at the 4th quarter. I will be happier if Yao and the whole team continue better performing in the 4th quarter in the following matches.

It's good that T-mac & Yao are not the only options for the Rox to finish a game. That is gonna be very important when we are against the elite teams in the league.

What did Luther prove to you? That he can have a really good shooting night?

We already knew he could do that.

Let's see him shoot like that CONSISTENTLY and more importantly, REDUCE THE BONEHEAD PLAYS!

If he does that, then his value will be much higher and we can get more out of him in a trade. ;)

I hope he still has some left in the tank tomorrow night.

Good thing is the Knicks are still in the game against the Bulls at the half. Hope their bigs will be expend.

This is Yao's limition, as he can't jump high. I am wondering whether he would have the chance to learn the sky hook from Abdul-Jabber. That's will help Yao a lot.

When use sky hook, Yao's body width will create enough space to prevent most of the very high leapers from reaching and blocking his shots.

Love Yao's effort day in and day out.

Yeah, but it was the whole team that was sucking. Its not like when he sat on the bench they were playing like this, or when he first got hurt. The team is just finally coming together and playing well.
Rafer is now playing well, Brooks has come on, Yao has become more aggressive, overall better shooting, ect... The team with McGrady had none of these, so we can't blame him for this. You add him to this, and we will be really, really good.

Wiz are one game over .500 just like us. They are or were 4th in the Eastern Conference.

Now it's finally Yao's team. T-Wack can go stay in that suit because Eddie Jordan said the Rockets are more fluid and cooler without him!

Luther Head is a powerful shooter, rather than a good pg verified by 4 turnovers.

Luther is one of the worst decision makers in the NBA. His good shoot can make up for it, but when he's not making his shots, he's a liability.

    Exactly.

Even the best shooters in history wouldn't have been on the court if they couldn't make good decisions in other areas of the game.

You can't turn into a liability for your team every time your shot is off. You don't have to be great at the other things but you can't be terrible, either.

Right now Head is terrible at most aspects of the game other than spot up shooting. This includes passing, defense, driving to the basket and general decision-making.

He isn't a very good ballhandler, either. That is why he often just stands in that useless triple-threat position you mention in the past.

Look at the big picture not just one game. You can support almost any argument if you use statistics from a single game.

Rafer rarely has nights like this.

On the other hand, Luther is usually a hazzard when handling or passing the ball.

From the Live Commentary of cbs sportsline:
"The Rockets close out the game with three straight offensive rebounds which put the lock on the game. The Wizards had no answer for Yao Ming tonight. The stats don“t necessarily reflect how much he dominated. Ya, he had 21 points, 4 blocks and 8 boards, but he did way more than that. Washington missed shots they should have made just because Yao was on the floor. His physical presence was too much for the uninspired Wizards to overcome. ".

all 3 were relatively careless with the ball [Head, Yao, and Alston]... fortunately they all made up for it on the offensive end. And yes, until the 4th quarter Yao was not having a very good game. I think through the 3rd he had something like 10pts, 2-3 rebounds, had been blocked 3-4 times already, and a majority of his turnovers [and they were pretty bad turnovers - bad passes to no one out of double teams].

Scola really came in with some energy. I love watching him play because he's all over the place. It'd be pretty sweet to take a 5 game winning streak into the home game versus New Orleans... will Rafer's rejuvenation hit a high point by matching Chris Paul stat-wise in that game [and quaterbacking the Rockets to a victory]?
