most of those missed games were in 2005-2006, except that season, he did played 70+games in other seasons. p.s. rockets usually wins with him.
Holy crap! Clutch, can this quote be one of those "Classic Quote" deals. This has to be the funniest thing I've heard in some time! I didn't realize we had so many in here that are members of McGrady's inner circle. You all seem to know what he's thinking and saying in private. That's pretty cool. Back to reality now...none of you know s***. Not one of these articles has quoted McGrady or any source saying anything remotely close to "He wants to be traded." He made it pretty damn clear that he wanted out of Orlando. What makes you think he would hide it now if he really wanted out of Houston, too?
absolutely, i'd love to trade yao haters to minnesota and t-mac haters to philadelphia. i'm sure fans of those cities would appreciate yao and t-mac a lot more.
Many members of the national media love to streamline and simplify narratives. It makes it easier to condense and present to a general mainstream audience. Right now they seem to be running with the "Houston We Have a Problem" theme, be it talking about the disappointing record or pondering on various trade scenerios. But watch how many will come running back onto the bandwagon when the team turns the corner.
I don't like and don't agree with these articles. Look at the game we played with Magic. Tmac talk a lot with AB and cheer for his teammates. (I still want to more though) Tmac, come on. Hits over half team's last shots at end of the q. You are a man. Over 80% FT, don't let Yao do that T FT any more, Yor are a man. Do hard D and BS more. You are a man. Lead team run a 11-1 winning streak. You are a man. Let them eat their words. Go Rockets.
I'd figure that of all people, the Chinese would be the most skeptical of anything printed in the American press. I mean, doesn't anyone else see the irony here?
I don't know how i feel about this, i mean, I've always doubted Tmac as a leader, but does that mean he's really gone and checked out? Here's the thing, winning is the cure all for any woe, look at Boston, as soon as Boston gets tested they will get testy. If this is the Rockets and Tmac getting testy, I like our chances.
Neither one of these dudes know WTF they are talking about. I'm not a McGrady fan anymore but this speculation is really irresponsible and would reflect poorly on these guys if anyone actually watched them. and LMAO at the dude who claimed tendinitis robbed him of his hops. Sure buddy.
This sounds like the same crap unverified trade rumors about all star players, when they get injured. Supposedly, Rafer Alston was being released by the Rockets for knife fighting in a bar. It had to be true because somebody read it somewhere else, and Houston sources are always behind. It was clearly speculation. Feigen and Blinebury said it wasn't true that he wasn't released. Clutch has alwasy been able to verify roster moves with them, such as Francis signing, Scola trade. I'll go with local.
I dunno, they didn't seem that far off base. At the same token, i have a hard time believing that management is fielding for offers as they implied. With respect to the tendinitis I agree completely, I've heard that about microfracture surgery, but tendinitis?
Regardless of how T-Mac plays when he gets back his health is a valid concern. Even without the questions of heart and playing style his health problems alone would be reason enough to consider a trade. But those same health problems, especially stacked on top of some other concerns, limit what you can get back. If T-Mac can't plug into the offense the Rockets are probably going to have to get what they can for him. If he comes back and the Rockets take off then I would say you've got to keep him and roll the dice with regards to his injuries. Hopefully he'll be around for the playoffs and not miss too much of the regular season.
Because, if you would have checked the trade checker or had any basic mathematical sense, you would have realized that the trade would have to involve multiple players in order to work under the CAP. Maybe you should have thought before spewing your own trash. I agree. Chicago isn't likely to give us Deng for McGrady, when Deng is typically healthy for 82 games, young, and has improved every season statistically (and played very well during the playoffs). While T-Mac is declining. But McGrady is guaranteed to give Chicago at least 1 good season before he gives up or hits the injured list again, like Vince gave New Jersey. And the trade will look horrible until then unless Houston gets back a good player like Deng or Hinrich. http://realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=4394486 That was one of the trades I thought would work. Chicago gets a young forward with above-average scoring down low (Scola) without having to give up Deng like they would have for Gasol. And gets the star it needs, who will perform like a Top 10 player for 1 season in T-Mac, which will give them hope for a playoff run unless they run into a motivated Detroit, or Boston. And should be enough for them to defeat Cleveland (unless LeBron goes insane again) or Wade's Heat (if they miraculously recover). While Houston gets another young prospect to replace Scola at the 4 (although he's not as good), and a good young point and forward guard that will mesh well with Yao and the rest of the team. The rest are there to match salaries. Really, I doubt Chicago would even do it, since they're giving away too much. But the trade has to be pretty big in order for salaries and talent to match.
I checked again, and this trade seems more fair: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...2~1781&teams=10~10~10~10~10~4~4~4~4&te=&cash= Like the previous trade, problem is that a lot of players are being moved. You can replace Noah/Gray with Duhon and it still works, but then Houston would be the team giving away too much. I'd do that trade. Quality players and necessary changes happen for both teams.
I can see it went right over your head. It's okay, you are forgiven even if your comprehension is bad.
