http://www.nba.com/powerrankings/ Houston (15) 17-17 Off: 105.1 (18), Def: 103.9 (5) -- Is Aaron Brooks the new back up point? The rookie went off for 22 points on 8-of-10 (4-of-5 from downtown) in Saturday's win over the Knicks. The Rockets have now won four of six during this last stretch without Tracy McGrady. they are saying how we have won 4 of 6 without mcgrady but drop us 2 spots..right
Marc Stein=Rockets hater Even last year the highest we ever got was 5th when we were clearly better than teams like Detroit and Utah, who would be higher.
We are a .500 team right now --- ranked in a bunch with other .500 teams. Until we prove otherwise (and I believe we will), I have no problem with this ranking.
The Rockets did have the 5th best record last season, and Utah dominated the series between the two teams and Detroit is an Eastern Conference power with plenty of playoff experience. I thought the rankings were fairly acccurate last season. I haven't paid much attention to them this year, but I could care less. These are only one man's opinion and don't mean anything as far as playoff seedings or other. It's all up to the Rockets to perform and prove these rankings wrong.
Yeah they beat us in the playoffs, I believe we were still a much better team then Utah the whole season. Outside of Williams and Boozer, they're a bunch of floppers.
Of course they are my opinion! Please don't confuse me with someone who is always going to write something professional. Same thing for Richard Justice.
23 Memphis (26) 10-23 Off: 107.2 (15), Def: 111.4 (27) -- Anybody else feel that Rudy Gay has all the tools to be a First Team All-NBA player in a few years? lol...
