You know who Brooks reminds me of? Calvin Murphy. Murph didn't have his range (not that I remember), but both are amazingly quick, both are dead-eye shooters, both play(ed) far better defense than you'd expect for their size, both are excellent passers as well as deluxe scorers. Biggest difference? Calvin would kick your ass given half a chance. He was feared by much larger players back when you didn't get tossed for multiple games when punches were thrown.

Sure, one could say it's early, and it is, but I can't believe we grabbed Brooks.

I agree! No more point guard duties from Tmac. Just play off the ball or iso in the high post

This is why I think Adelman is hesitant to have Brooks on the floor without Rafer late in games. Aaron's getting better, so I cant complain about the way Rick is handling it.

It's a good win. Great game from AB. RA should use Yao smarter and pull him out earlier in the 3rd. Alston still took too many jump shots instead he should do more driving layups.

the guy made some TOUGH lay-ups over bigs... He truly is a great finisher around the basket...

    p.s.

Is it just me or does everyone suddenly stand up when watching brooks is near a loose ball ready to take it the distance...

    Savior?

I wish some other team took him with his salary for free now. The chemistry is really good since he is sick. I worry about that " it's on me" disturbs the chemistry developing now.

Imagine if the Suns had grabbed Brooks at #29? That was straight from the Rockets... they hoped to land Brooks early second round, but had good information that Phoenix was going to take him.

I don't understand the question about the word "savior".

T-Mac for free? The Rockets aren't contenders without T-Mac... let's be realistic. It was the Knicks. But it's a matter of what you can get for T-Mac and how much better you can be with what you get in return.

Exactly. And when he comes back, we should play him off the ball more.

Joe Dumars only went on to be the Pistons' GM, but never got into coaching like his ex Piston teamate Isiah. I can still say that Joe has done a far better job than Isiah has, though.

As for the game, let's just hope for more games like tonight from Aaron Brooks as this season progresses.

No love from the Chinese reporters for Aaron Brooks. Not even one photo of him who was the difference-maker in this win over the hapless New York Knicks.

Another thing good with Brooks playing well is Head will get less PT. He is a dumb play waiting to happen.
