If AB could keep up his level, we don't see any reason we would still keep SF and MJ. When Tmac is back, there'll be no space for those 2 guys on the back court. We could trade them for an athletic interior defender.
Whoever said who shouldn't draft Aaron Brooks is eating crows now. Oh that was me. I'm glad that I was wrong. AB rocks!!!
Brooks is definitely one of the top 5 rookies in the league now -- along with Durant, Yi, Horford and Green ... and is probably going to be a better player than any of those guys except Yi and Durant.
Good game, we sort of slacked off in the second half, but that's forgiveable tonight. Can't do that on the road though.
also, if most teams would have a former NBA Piston's guard turned general manager/coach leading them, Rockets would have it made
It's the Knicks, worst defensive team in the league. They have zero interior defense in general, and their best defender (Balkman) didn't play.
Every other PG? How many PGs has he played against? Height is not a problem with Brooks. Brooks is a legit NBA 6'0". Roughly the same height as TJ Ford, Jameer Nelson, Allen Iverson, Chris Paul, etc... His lack of bulk will make it difficult to handle stronger guards but he is extremely athletic and has quick hands to make up for some that. He has also has long arms and big hands and great leaping ability. Hitting the weight room hard is what he needs to do. If he can add about 10 lbs of muscle over the next couple of years, that will serve him well.
