I wonder how Tmac will affect our current offensive flow. Is he going to destroy the chemistry we have now by putting up his shots and not getting others involved? Will Rafe continue his hot streak or defer to Tracy?
I worry about this. We have had 4 players in double figures for the last few games and I love it!!

I think he may have been able to see how it works from the sidelines/filmroom and can adjust accordingly.

You raise a very good point, what will this do to say a Rafer Alston like character. Does he still lead the team? Does he still run the offense? Or does Tmac take the reigns? I think we should do what the Cavs did with Lebron and bench Tmac the first game and bring him in later, ie the second half or something. This could be a blessing in disguise (the whole tmac injury).

Hopefully T-Mac comes back dedicated on defense and looking to get his teammates involved by attacking and drawing the defense. He can't continue to lead the league in shots per game. It kills us.

the plyers should develop som kind of ego to demand being a part of the offense.

Does anyone know when he is returning back? I remember reading one report that said he'll be back in a week.

T-mac's no dummy (although some make him out to be one). He's seeing the improved play by his teammates and has to be heartned by it. Remember, this is a guy who wants to win - and if you don't believe it, well, then there's no way you can believe he'll help this team.

He wants to win, and he sees what's going on, he certainly doesn't want to go back to the way things were which clearly were frustrating him. He wants to win, and so by that very notion, he'll adjust to make sure that play continues.

And I also think that his teammates are now in a flow that they have confidence in themselves and won't use t-mac has a crutch.

I believe it could only be better for him to come back healthy,
    for 3 reasons:

    1) He is the Mr. $20M, who is supposed to make the team better, and he actually did before his injuries.
    2) He is injury prone and he has history, but no one every talked about him being a chemistry-killer. He is so talented and smart. He wouldn't screw it up if he is healthy enough.
    3) Probably, the current team will make him better too. The would be a whole new T-Mac. :D

First is first. Rockets could be a elite team only if they have a healthy TMac (or Mr. $20M). :)

it will help! but only if they keep the same game plan (e.g. yao in the post!) and everyone else keeps being aggressive offensively..rather than them standing around and watching tmac

All he has to do is play tough D and run the wing with energy.......
He needs to commit to running.....

I am confident our senior, experienced and wise coach Adelman will and can determine a good role for TMac to contribute when he is healthy again.

I don't like T-Mac's latest comments. It sounded good on surface. But what he was really implying that despite the improvement in team offensive flow and chemistry, it did not win enough without him.

I hope he comes around when he returns, or he might find that the team is good enough without him.

healthy tmac = mvp caliber stat line

i can't wait for him to be back HEALTHY. if the other players for whatever reason start bricking shots again and stop having confidence in themselves to penetrate and create when he's playing, then adelman mite need a psychologist or something.

I'm kinda worried about the small things he does:

-He tends to hold the ball longer than he should be
-A lot of times he prefers to walk the ball up the court, therefore they can't fastbreak
-And of course he settles for those dreaded jumpshots

These are the kind of things that could be rhythm killers and could convert us back to a strict half-court team. Adelmen's offense is all about movement, so if Tmac is still intent playing the same slowed-down way he did last year, then there's gonna be more players standing around and less opportunities for easy shots. His problem so far hasn't been his heart, effort, etc.; he just has to tweak his style of play so he can fit the system.
