2 games Head to head Match up

    YAO
    36.75 MPG (73.5)

    Offense
    22.PPG 60FG% (17-28) 73FT% (11-15) 3.5 T.O. (7) 1.5APG (3)

    Defense
    13.5 RPG (27) - 5.5 OFF R (11) 1.5BPG (3) Black against 0.5 (1)

    DH
    35.45 MPG (70.9)

    Offense
    18.5 PPG (37) 50FG% (12-24) 68FT% (13-19) 1 T.O.(2) 0.5APG (1)

    Defense
    9.5 RPG (19) - 1.5 OFF R (3) 2BPG (4) Block against 1.5 (3)

----------- Note in brackets are totals in the 2 games ---------------

DH stroger side should be points FG% and defensive and total rebounds.

Yao score more a better % and grab more rebounds while limiting DH off boards and taking DH defensive boards by Yao getting more in the offensive glass.

Yao up in points FG% and Rebounds than his season average.

DH low in points FG% and rebounds than his season average.

Conclusion Yao DH having a better statistical season while Yao have a better statistical head to head match up.

Who is better make your pick.

Yao played well. I hope he can continue with this the next game.

He is super young but man Howard can't do much outside of 2 feet from the basket.

Who many Yao hatter are in this board, KG over Yao got like 25 post in 5 minutes.

I can't believe this is a Rockets board. Now i know why yao get no love from refs, he can't get any with his own team fans.

dwight has improved and Yao played him when he was still learning the game and nowhere close to where he is now.

DH is not as strong as Shaq or Yao. He is also shorter (6-11) than Shaq (7-1). It is tough for him to push Yao away like Shaw did. DH doesn't have a mid-range jumper like AS or Carlos boozer does even though he moves as quckly as any of those two. Therefore, now he has to battle Yao at the lost post. How could DH dominate Yao? NO WAY!

He is still improving his skills. He is nearly strongest one as a center taking height and weight into consideration. I think he will have his time. He is still 21 and that is the most beautiful thing he has right now. Dominate Yao? Not now. Dominate a game? He will be and has to be otherwise it is just too disappointing .

Can you imagine DH grows into 310 pounds and bumps Yao as easily as Shaq did? He has to be that strong to push Yao; otherwise he has to front Yao in defense and get screwed by Yao in offense.

Can you imagine he develops a reliable mid-range jumper? Then he woould be a mix of Yao and Shaq. That's just too good to be true. NO WAY!

    He is young. That's all.

Its not a good argument to compare overall head to head because a lot of the games played were when howard wasn't even 20 and yao was already polished. Just like how shaqs overall head to head stats would still be similar or better than yaos.

That's the point. Yao didn't really beat Shaq. Same thing here, DH will not beat Yao in a short time. Period.

All the Dwight Howard lovers must be crushed right now. :D

And don't give me that crap about he's still learning the game, blah blah blah. Excuses, excuses. Dwight Howard will NOT develop a jumper, stop dreaming! His game will stay the same, and possibly get injured and it's going downhill for him. I don't see any improvement from him at all and most likely he won't improve again. This is like his peak, that's it.

What we all witnessed tonight was Yao dominating Dwight Howard even though Dwight Howard got all the helps from the referee. Yao beat Dwight Howard AND the referees tonight!

The NBA will do everything to make DH the next shaq. It was clearly showed tonight. DH should have fouled out by half time. Many of his rebounds and blocks are actually fouls. He is lucky to the chosen one. This is the NBA. What do you expect?

There is no way for you to be the NBA first center when you have to front defense another big man. It is as simple as that. DH has a long way to go.

Dwight Howard is more of a POWER center (if that makes sense). He can beat and pound you down inside and then dunk/lay the ball up. However.....Yao is an all around better player with skill and finesse. Not saying that Howard doesn't have skill, but like someone said earlier....he really can't do as much when he's AWAY from the basket.

This is no surprise me because howard cant shoot....yao will always match up good agianst howard as long as he cant knock down a open jumper.....Yao cannot hold boozer, brand,k.g,okur because they will either drive by him or shoot thoes long jumpers..
