I really don't see why you post this about him and then take a cheap shots. Bipolar much?

Can I write a check? YAAAAAO

Stop talking about crying and looking like a jackass with shades on inside a gymnasium. - The kids look up to him, and he admitted to crying. Not many people have enough humility to do that.

Your knee doesn't look too hurt, you big baby. - Your face don't look too hurt, but it's hurting me! OOOOOHHH! :p Doesn't have to look hurt to be hurt.

Nice work for humanitarian efforts, though.

I like how they mentioned Dikemebe gave $16 mil of his own money.

    Tracy $75 thousand
    ------------------------- = .46975%
    Deke $16 million

Oh, I was unaware Deke gave 16 mill in one check. I don't know if Tracy gave 75K in one check, but hey, he's just starting. Deke has been at it a while.

He can't even talk about what he is doing. He sounded like a tard on Rome.

Can't say nothing on that, I missed it when he was on there.

I think that is a great cause and am glad T-Mac has shown interest in helping, the only drawback is that it is evident he left his heart in Africa too.

This is where basketball performance and off-court deeds should be seen as separate things, like Marbury and his Starbury shoes.

Did hear something about McGrady not visiting the most ravaged parts of Darfur because he was reluctant to drive in...

If McGrady has taken his focus completely away from basketball since last summer, then how do explain the MVP-like perfromance that McGrady played to start the season? He was leading the league in scoring and having one of the best starts of his career. There are only two things that have slowed down Tmac since then: the team's transition to learn Adelmen's new offense ,and injuries.

Forget Tmac's quotes saying he's "not playing basketball" anymore. He never knows what he's trying to say. You guys should already know this from last year's playoffs him saying, "It's on me". Basketball-wise, Tmac can come back play like the superstar he should be. And then character-wise, you gotta admire him for his burden toward those in Africa.

He didn't really say that, you know. I made that whole thing up. Did you actually read the article? I figured the part where I mentioned Latrell Sprewell would give it away, but man. I'm impressed.

My point is that Tmac is very, very lucky to be a multimillionaire because he is good at playing a game. I think when someone is given that opportunity they have a responsibility to give 100% if not for themselves but for the fact that there are other people out there who are not as gifted and have to work their a$$es off to provide for their family. That is my opinion.

I'm not sure if I am a poor communicator or if you have reading comprehension problems or if you just enjoy be a dick but my point was that Tmac would be a more effective spokesperson if he was an NBA Champion. If you can't understand that then I can't help you.

I agree that he should want it for selfish reasons but there are rewards beyond that. What I am trying to say is that hopefully this experience put things in perspective for him in a manner that makes him realize it is a privilege for him to play this game and get rich doing it. Millions of people would do anything to trade places with him so if he is, in fact, a humanitarian he can at least give everything he has at this "dream job" that he has.

Although I see where you are coming from, I don't agree with why you say he should give it his all. Yes, he's priviliged to be paid millions to play basketball. I don't think that he should play hard because of the fact people have it much rougher than he does. I mean if someone has a really nice corporate job, should they feel obligated to do their job 100% because there are homeless people? That, for whatever reason, can't have his job? I don't think so.

He/She works to provide a life for themselves and their loved ones that they desire. Regardless of whether or not other people think that person deserves the job or the pay they get, they did indeed earn it somehow.

Some people are more gifted in an area than others. Hard work substitutes for skill up to a point. Past that point, perhaps you are pursuing the wrong thing.

Tracy is a naturally gifted basketball player. I can try and try, but he's got me beat there. He doesn't owe it to me to play hard b/c I can't. And I don't owe it to him to write a badass program because I can program better than he does. hahah Bad analogy, I know :p

If anything, Tracy owes it to HIS boss to perform. or his contract.

I think this discussion isn't very productive but I'll just say that I respectully disagree. I think you're being a bit anti-Tmac and finding ways to find fault with anything he does. But that's my opinion.

I absolutely hate it when basketball players dress like trash for important events. I mean seriously Tmac, what are you thinking? I don't mean to single out Tmac, but its a bad trend among the league's players. Maybe I'm off base here, but would it kill him to wear a suit and tie and take off the sunglasses and bling when addressing kids about the strife in Africa? It's just gotti and down right unfitting. Oh well.

I think trucks full of kids with AK-47's will make anyone reluctant.
