after game reviews: just 2pts in 4mins or whatever it is should be a huge warning sign W is a W, but geez we need a better stable scorer at the end
it was very close BUT... i think the ball was out of AF's hands before the buzzer and red light... we got a break...I think the refs wanted to go home...
I'm a homer as much as anyone, but anyone that BELIEVES in that call is just stupid. I'm happy they gave the decision to the Rockets, but at least I acknowledge it was a bogus call. If we were in the Magics' situation, we would be livid right now. Hell I bet the Magic's forum is planning an assassination on the 3 refs right now. BTW, as long as you get the shot off before 0.0 seconds, the shot is good. Regardless, our wins/losses should never be decided by the refs...we need to stop blowing the lead in the 4th quarter.
Eh. More like... Associated Press: Howard has less turnovers then Yao, as Rockets barely irk out a win against Magic...we're not biased. Nope, not at all.
So you're saying you want TMac to turn it over just about 50% of the time he makes a move towards the basket. Or better yet, throw it away with the game on the line? At first I thought the Magic got robbed. I watched it frame by frame and it seems like Foyle's fingertips were still on the ball...but it was damn close and that could be my looking at it with Rocket-fan eyes. Well, like everyone is saying, I'll take a win anyway we can get one! Oh, and is there any doubt about who is better now? Howard or Yao? Folks it ain't even CLOSE. Yao dominated his ass tonight.
Foyle had actually picked his nose during the time out and their was a booger stuck to the ball as he release it. So, it's official: We won by a booger!
Looking at the ESPN break down and replay where they broke it down fram by frame, it was obviously out of his hand by the 0.1 sec mark. Still, we got lucky and we'll take it.
No they weren't. The replay showed the red light was already on! It was close, but when time expires, it expires!
1) Brooks did not have a good first half. Adelman leaves him in, gives him plenty of minutes in the second half and he redeems himself offensively and defensively. Those passes looked incredible. 2) You've got to give Alston huge props. He's still not a natural passer--how many times has he missed Scola when a double team comes off a pick? Even Luther Head made that pass. 3) Yao had a good, solid game. He might have had a much better game if not for the calls. When Yao gets called when somebody runs into his back you get the feeling that this could be a really serious problem in the future. At the very least he outdueled Howard tonight. 4) Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. a) Missed layups, missed layups, missed layups. 5) A scoring drought in the 4th quarter lets Orlando back into it. The problem is trying to force the pass into Yao regardless of how the defense is set up. Take a look at the last score by Alston: the Rockets should be taking what the defense gives them. Yao will get his 25/10 in the flow of the offense--don't sweat it.
Thats why we need Tmac. He gives us a big time scorer at the end of games. Tmac should start the game by facilating the offense and getting others involved... and when the offense gets stagnant, he can do his thing
That T-Mac guy. He can get off a good shot in the last few minutes of the game. He can also penetrate and dish to cutters/open 3s.
Refs had a better look at it, seems he had one finger tip still on the ball. I am just glad the call went the Rockets way with another game tomorrow it was a nice way to get ready for the one game home stand.
