This just seems like a terrible idea...

I'm all for having a good time. I can't blame some for wanting a beer while dealing with the crowds, etc. I just don't see how Six Flags can honestly believe that they can control consumption and "expect" responsiblilty from those that do chose to drink. I just have to think that much more bad than good can come from allowing alcohol in the park.

Wow. What a potential nightmare. Or dream.

    Lots of puke though.

It's different at an amusement park. Lots of moving about, lots of close interactions (lines for drunk people to start jawing at each other) and LOTS of moving parts for someone to hurt themselves with.

On top of that, you're going to be pounding alcohol in typically an incredibly heated concrete paradise. Dehydration and sickness will skyrocket.

I'm pretty sure they have it at Disney.

    What could possibly go wrong?

This reminds me of when Fatty Fat b*stard said he and his friends like to get hammered and go to Chuck E. Cheese's.

I don't think the 2 are even close to being the same situation.

Disney is a vacation spot, usually for rich people. Six Flags is a cesspool.

I've never been. I'll admit I've only been to Fiesta Texas and Astroworld (RIP) but I can't imagine a worse fate then being there again, yet all the yahoos being drunk.

Isn't this an effort by Six Flags to get people back into the park? I thought I had heard they weren't doing so well and numbers were down.

What other reason would they have for doing this?

That's pretty much it I'd have to think. Gotta remove some of the family atmosphere to get some more teens and 20's in there.

And she already did her first kegstand last month. I am so proud. She is so precious, my little angel.

As do my wife and I. That's got nothing to do with trying to make the park seem more acceptable to younger adults who don't have children. I think it's mostly a marketing ploy that will blow up in their face the first time some drunken moron finds his way out of his seatbelt while upside down 200 feet in the air.

Most other parks have already it (well the cool ones). They probably want to be able to bring in some nice restaurants to be a part of the park. Xtian fundies don't like it and really that's enough reason to support it.

i dont think that just because an amusement park adds beer, people will start coming.

    (family in living room)
Dad: hey kids, what do you want to do?
Kids how about we all go to Six Flags? we havent been there in a while and I heard theyve made some changes!
Dad:sounds good to me, I can now drink beer there!

yeah i definitely dont see it playing out that way...
