After suggestions by BGM and SF3 i tried out Fastbreak Basketball. It is a NBA simulator similar to OOTP which we use in the baseball sim. The link below will show you how our teams did i a regular season with somewhat close to our current rosters. I am playing the demo so only the regular seaosn is available. I also do not have any of the created rookies we just drafted in the game(sorry BGM no Furious Francis for you). Thanks to SF3 for doing the rosters. I was too lazy to do it but I did figure out the html export so i though it would be fun to see how a season in this league turned out. http://users2.ev1.net/~chkemp/bball/ For those interested in trying out the demo here is the FBB link: http://www.sportplanet.com/fbb/ Castor
Wow, that's really cool Castor. Maybe we could start using that after a couple more seasons in the NBA live sim.... It looks like Cat would have a much easier time, with no stat. requests, etc., Everything would be available on the website. I'm interested in doing that as a 2nd league too, if possible...
Cat probably would not be able to do it as he has a MAC and it is PC only software. I had considerd doing it as a second league but I don't have near enough time to keep up wioth the leagues i am currently in. CK
1 Question: What do the "IN" and "OUT" mean on the players' screens? Like the draft screen for example..
That really is an awesome website. Do you know how free agency, the draft, etc. would work? The salaries are better, and you can see all of your players' stats. The only problem, of course, is I couldn't run the league since I don't have a PC right now. If someone else is willing or has time to run the league, I'd be fine with uploading to Castor's site. Or, we could use NBA Live until the late summer, when I might be getting a PC. If I do, I could just start running it then, and if not, maybe someone else would have time then to set up the league.
Cat- Actually it does have free agency at the beginning of a season but i skipped that part. i will play around with it a little more and see how that works. Mduke- the In and Out in the player ratings are how good the players are on Inside Game(low Post) and Outside Game(long range). SF3 did the rosters and I just simmed the games and FBB exports the html automatically. Very simple to do. THe only downside is that i have a fairly slow connection and it took about 40 minutes to upload the whole site. Franchise- I could show you how to do the html stuff. It is pretty easy actually. One downside to the game, however, is that you are only allowed 12 players on your team. You can't have any more. And to put a player on IR as we normally do. They actually have to be injured. CK
I like your idea Cat. I think we should at least sim a few more seasons on NBA Live, and wait and see if you get a PC. If you don't we could just decide then...
