Hey. I used to be a poster but ended up losing my login info and haven't been back in a while to post. I have been reading other posts though and it's good to be back... anyway...

I am a little perplexed at the fact than nobody seems to spell this guys name right. He's not Eddie Griffen. But that's not the true nature of my post.

Is anyone else totally pumped about this guy being a rocket? I know that Richard Jefferson is showing that he is an NBA ready small forward and is contributing nicely for a first place team. Eddie Griffin on the other hand is slowly becoming a franchise cornerstone. More importantly he's a frontcourt player and has that remarkable superstar potential that this team hasn't found in the draft since Mobley and Dickerson (the Francis trade notwithstanding).

I say, let us suck this season. If the draft isn't very deep, we can trade our high draft pick for a veteran frontcourt player or some depth.

My only concern is that we need to reach the playoffs very soon becuase it's what Francis wants more than money. If we make noise in the playoffs next year and show we will be returning often, he'll be locked in for his career (barring some Hakeem-esque, end-of-career departure).

So, in closing, spell his name right but give him props, we will be great next year and we'll have to be to keep Francis.

P.S. It's good to be back.

    OK. Let the suckage begin:

Eddie Griffen is good. Do you think we could trade him for that 7'7 Tsing Tao guy?

Wait, isn't Tsing Tao a beer? I thought that dude's name was Wang Chung...

Eddie Griffen will definitely be able to play the 3, 4, or 5 spot in a couple of years...Good basketball instincts and doesn't jump at pump fakes too often...

Personally, I have been asking myself this question more often lately...Does Francis have any reason to WANT to come back to this team?

Screw all that tanking crap...I'm out to win in all cases. You guys talk like losers and then you act like losers!! Don't tell me that we aren't watching games to want them to win. Let's make the playoffs this year and make Franchise happy and sign him to that extension already! G-R-I-F-F-E-N is the MAN!!

By the way, Tsing Tao beer was first introduced in China by German settlers (of course :)).

I agree, I'm all for drafting that Tsing Tao guy if we can sink low enough to win the lotto. He's broken all the scoring records at Tanking University.

My world as I know it would be over if Steve left. A nucleus of Steve, Cuttino, and Eddie, plus, say...Lamar Odom in free-agency (him and Stevie are tight), and maybe Chris Marcus in the draft would be a championship-contending team.
