I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I love seeing these guys miserable... it's Oklahoma, and I can't stand them. On the other... how did we lose to these guys by double digits, twice?!? I'm starting to think Missouri has a mental block against them, much like Texas did before Vince. Oklahoma clearly isn't the dominant super team I thought they were coming out of San Antonio.

    LOL!

Everybody on ESPN was going on and on about how Oklahoma was just going to roll through this game as they were probably the second hottest team going into the bowls besides USC. I guess they were wrong...again.

I had a feeling WVU speed would expose those holding ogres. I was right.

1-4 over the last 5 bowls.

OU is the most overrated college program in America.

I am taking great pleasure in this.

    jajajajaja!!!!!

Yet they have a pretty damn good record against our Longhorns and their 7 straight 10 win seasons.

The real question is how did WVU lose to Pitt. They were flatter than a pancake in a monumental choke job. Then they come out tonight and wipe the field with OU.

Both of their losses were with Pat White injured. I think people really missed how good this team was. They've been good on offense for a while, but they really added a defense this year. Unless you play WVU on a regular basis in conference, they have that ability to really shock people. They did this with Georgia a few years where they absolutely obliterated them in the first half before it became close late.

Before that last week, I really thought WVU would destroy Mizzou in the national championship - it didn't quite work out that way! I kinda feel sorry for WVU because of those Pat White injuries.

I forgot about that. They were ahead against Pitt early in the game and I had to go somewhere. I expected them to rack up 28 points in the 1st quarter.

Major, IIRC, South Florida beat WVU fair and square. After the game, I said to myself they were just plain better, except at QB.

Well, there is one more year of Pat White and then I'll forget WVU football ever existed.

Pat White got hurt late in the 1st half against South Florida and missed the entire second half. The backup QB did OK statistically, but had a pair of costly interceptions, and it's just not the same as having Pat White out there when they needed to come back in the 2nd half in terms of experience and all.

Didn't help that OU was without 3 of the defensive starters, Malcolm Kelly, and Demarco Murry. But still no excuse for the way they played.

    Did you watch this game?

That's not the reason they lost. White got hurt then came back in and still couldn't score against frickin Pitt. I won't even go into detail about how White is a system QB. It was a monumental chokejob and they have nobody to blame but themselves.

By the way, this Bill Stewart guy obviously knows what he's doing and pretty much undressed Stoops in last night's game.

Got back from the game/Glendale this morning. It was a total blast. I got to hand it to a couple of Sooners supporters, they showed up at the Yardhouse and were cool to hang out with. Of course they no longer still live in Oklahoma.

WV has been a very good and talented team for a couple of years. That said they can have off days where they stop themselves. They were not playing well versus Pitt or S Florida even when White was in there. They shot themselves in the foot versus Lou last year as well. Just an off day--it is a fine line for when that offense is loose and humming, versus lackluster and TO prone. I am not sure WV wouldn't have beaten anyone yesterday--maybe SC, Geo or LSU could have slowed that offense--not sure though. They defintely would have moped up Vtech, Ohio State, Missouri, Kansas, etc.
