I said do they miss a "healthy" Glen Rice. We have not seen what a healthy Glen Rice could contribute. He may never get healthy. It was a gamble to begin with, but not much you can do about it now.

Shandon is actually making $5.333m this year. He has the identical contract to Cato. 6yrs at $42m.

TheFreak is right. Totally classless move by Chaney. He practically forced Shandon to defend himself in the media.

Say what you want about Rudy, he never pulls that kind of garbage.

And the next time you want to laugh about New York's $6M defender who can't defend, think about our $8M shooter who can't shoot.

The best thing about this situation, however, is that while Rice is overpaid and seriously underproducing, we only have to think about him for 3 seasons, and he will be injured much of that time (addition by subtraction). Shandon, on the otherhand, signed a 6 year contract and, as we know, is an iron man injury-wise.

However, we still have that 6 million dollar guy who can't shoot, rebound, defend, or hold on to a round ball for any amount of time. Damn...all this thread has done is depress me.

I don't even think that Shandon has that much raw athleticism. I can name 30 sg/sf's that are as athletic.
