Do you remember a couple of years ago when Cato went for every block and picked up a lot of fouls and a decent block/min ratio?

I was looking at blocks/foul ratio and Eddie is 3rd at 1.11. I believe this stat coupled with blocks/game and blocks/min quantifies Eddie's timing on blocks.

Its nice when the stats actually concur with what the eye sees.

One of the really nice things about Eddie is that he is not foul prone. The one game he did foul out in I thought was more the result of bad officiating (the ref not giving the rookie the benifit of the doubt). That was always one of Moses Malones trade marks...he never fouled out. I would have to check the stats but I would bet that Eddie does not avg. 4 fouls per 40 minutes.

Mo really didn't play d, but I don't think Mo fouled out 1 game in his entire NBA career.

since I like stats I did some checking and Moses Malone avg'd

2.8 fouls a game and 1.63 blocks a game with the Rockets.

Eddie avg's 1.2 fouls a game and 1.38 blocks a game. In 48 minutes he would have 3.1 fouls and 3.5 blocks a game.

Very impresive for a 19 year old rookie.
