There was alot of games when KG disappeared in crunch time. That was one of his biggest knocks. Every player has his good and bad days. Just watch some of his tapes from Minnesota.
It's funny how people start threads, get flamed, disappear and never to be seen again in the same thread. Why don't we just ignore posts like these?
Yeah Yao didnt have a great game, but not that bad. If refs can treat him fairly(just fairly, i dont expect any star calls) Maybe we can win this game. Anyway, i think this a good game for rox.
Double teamed. Triple teamed. Focal point on offense. Rebounding on defense. Had a big hand in fouling out TWO Celtics centres. But wait..... let's switch Yao with Garnett. Yao, with PP and Ray Allen against this Houston lineup... Garnett will revert to his Minnesota days, and Yao can be the one shaking his Celtics jersy and thumping his chest because he would then have energy in the 4th quarter to pulverize Garnett. Dude, just open your eyes wider when you watch the game and switch off your selective memory settings. Unless they are already fixed of course.
umm celtics have 3 allstars rockets have 1 allstar(at the moment) celtics game plan quadruple, triple and double team yao.....therefore yao doesn't look so dominant rockets game plan considering the celts have three allstars, they cant have the same defensive plan as the celts.....therefore kg doesnt have to wrestle for his points resulting in him having a better game. 3 allstars are always better than 1
No reason to hang your head for being outplayed by KG. I wonder if Clyde was called out for being outplayed by MJ. David Robinson sucked too because he got torched by Hakeem. LOL
Honestly, I'd rather take the memories of an NBA championship 2 years ago and an incoming blue-chipper (that won't be traded away for a garbage man) than to suffer this kind of mediocrity and inconsistency.
Did you guys notice that KG was very excited to beat Yao couple times in the fourth? Why? because he felt pressure from Yao and happy to beat him couple times. He felt pressure released from what I can see. I think Yao is lack of ability or experience to close 4th quarter but he just did what he could today.Well, for Boston, when KG is off, they have Pierce, when P is off, they have Ray Allen. What about Houston? When Yao is off, what you can do? Live with it or die with it. That happens to a team with only one star.
Dude, seriously... just go and support the Celtics or the Jazz or whichever team has a quick PF that turns you on. You don't have to support this team if you are not satisfied with any of its players.
oh yeah, did u notice how many fouls did the celtic pickedup against Yao? which team had both Ray Allen and Paul Pierrce to ease to load of Kevin Garnett? don't u remember how poorly the timberwolf performe last season w/ just KG himself?
I'd rather have prime Micheal Jordan taking the Rockets' clutch shots, but apparantly Father Time and the salary cap don't like granting my wishes.
okie, I confess that I didn't look until 3rd quarter. I seriously thought we would be losing big today So I am happy with 2nd half perfermance
It's funny, one of the biggest knock on KG was his disapperance in the 4th quarters and unclutchness. If we have players that worth 20 millions playing, the odds would be in favor of us erasing that 4 point loss, and win this game.
You can compare Nash with Paul, KG with TD. Pierce with Tmac. But No point for you to compare KG with Yao. If they matched up in the game, it is the fault of coach.
