Folks say T-Mac just shoots jumpers. Folks say Kobe drives to the basket with authority. Truth is, Kobe and T-Mac take about the same percentage of jumpshots. The only time I have seen T-Mac start settling for jumpers is when he is driving the lane and not getting calls. Its tough enough to make those shots when you arent getting fouled. When you get fouled, and no call is made, those shots almost never go down. You also dont get free throws. An open jumpshot is the higher percentage shot.
I see. So we have two supposed superstars on this team, and apparently, we couldn't build around either one. Good to know.....
Mac was traded to the Rockets the same year they got Howard. Get your facts straight before calling other people r****ded, buddy.
It depends how you define a selfish player. By number of Ast? No. By 43% SG and over 20 shots per game? Yes.
Why do people keep going to this mistaken analysis? Looking at the Rox with one starter missing is not the same as looking at the Rox with one starter traded. THE ROX ARE 0-3 WITHOUT RAFER ALSTON. OMG HE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN T-MAC?????? If you want to have a meaningful stat using "Rox without T-Mac," you ought to figure out how other teams perform when they lose their starting shooting guard. **Maybe the SG position is very important and any team that loses their starting SG will suck.** **Maybe a position like center is not as important and teams are OK without their starting center. Some teams don't even HAVE a true center. The NBA called Duncan a center.** As for your 2-8 record figure, it is a mess. 1) There's a # of games in which Tracy played but you are not counting them, because of "insignificant" minutes. Any logic there on what is "significant minutes" to you and how Tracy can play in a game but not really play? I mean, the NBA doesn't calculate PPG by "significant-minute" games only. They look at all the games. You don't like that? 2) If you are interested in games when Tracy DOES play, the Rox are 11-14 this season. When Yao does play, the Rox are 15-16. Or how about this? When Tracy is ON THE COURT (I have this thing about measuring players by their time on the court) the Rox are -4.7 points/100 possessions and their effective FG% is -2% compared to opponents. Maybe it's some of that 78% jump shooting and 38% in the first 10 sec of the clock going on. (Sorry, these things are all about when T-Mac is actually playing basketball.)
because Mclady is lazy...dosent like to run???? wtf because Mclady cries when he gets boo boo because Mcloser needs to warm up/look good... taking 22 foot off balance jumpshots with 2 defenders on him... so we can all bow down if he makes them... because Tracie is weak in the head... cries and plays like a baby...over a death he is not a true leader... 11 years of first round exits will tell us so... and give the top 100 players in the NBA 23 to 24 shots a game... one of them will win a scoring title too...
Your stats are wrong, we've lost more than 2 games where t-mac hasn't played. Instead of speculating on ridiculous scenarious - why is hard for you to accept that T-mac is a critical part of this team? And the fact is that Yao plays a lot better with T-mac in the game, and you don't even have to look at the numbers to understand why. Just because you hate t-mac and want him off the team doesn't mean that's reality. Somehow you and a bunch of others have gotten it into your heads that we're better off trading T-mac for role-players, which is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of and would doom us to be a medicre team for years. We may never win a ring with Yao-Mac, but once thing I know for sure, our chances actually will go down if we trade either one of them.
No they are right. When TMac plays this year (he has played 25 games according to the NBA), we are 11-14. When Yao plays, which has been every game, we are 15-16.
Which is why I started this thread because of all the stupid discussions about not being able to build a contending team around either Yao or T-Mac. They are both superstars in their own right. They both command the double team and both have the ability to defeat the double team. We just need better shooting from our scrubs. I think we need to look at Landry and Novak to see how they fit. You never know what you might have until you play them. Of course, with the current state of affairs and with Adleman being dissatisfied with the shooting of our team and his recent statement about looking for the opportunity to play them, we will soon see our sophmore and rookies getting more playing time. Look for Novak, Landry and Brooks to start getting more burn. Especially since the shooting of Francis James and Bonzi, Battier, and Hayes have been so pathetic of late.
Ha, ok, so if you want to count the games that t-mac only played in the first half (all losses) then we're 13-12. Where you get 11-14 is unknown...maybe you are pretending to make a few wins loses? We are 2-4 without t-mac this year - with loses to Phoenix, SA, Denver, and GS. We beat Memphis and Toronto without him. And you aren't counting Detroit, LA, and Orlando - all games he had to leave early in....but I'll give you philly since we weren't even competitive in that one. It's becoming clear you are manufacturing data to smear t-mac....11-14 is just a lie. You can't back it up because anyone can call you out by looking at his game log: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3179/gamelog;_ylt=AqySdscak6LDaL4by9dQDeCkvLYF
Hey, don't get me confused with the other guy. But you're right, 13-12 with TMac and 15-16 with Yao. I didn't really look at the stats I was just trying to point out to you what he was trying to get across to you. All I know is we usually win a lot more games with TMac and Yao playing. This year has been a little odd to say the least as far as that goes.
That's as simple as it gets. tracy's injury past is the only reason why u can't build the team around him. it has nothing to do with what he can't do. we've seen the rox play at a high level with howard and mutombo in the starting 5 with tracy without yao. tracy avg almost a triple double and the team win. last yr we see tracy out and yao put up big numbers and the team lose big to almost everyone.nothing more can explain that.
lol.. you're right.. in this case we can't even build around both of them.. i still think they can turn this around though.. don't give up on them yet
hey don't let facts get in the way of YOFs. The only thing they know is to diss on TMac when we lose so no blame is put on Yao.
