will make it , we have to. i dont like thinking about a good lottery pick and rebuilding and banking on the future, because there might not be a future to bank on. so the time is now.

Before I begin I want to say I am ALL FOR THE ROCKETS MAKING A PLAYOFF RUN. With Barkley possibly coming back at the end of the season, Hakeem getting better every game, and our team finally gelling it maes no sense to me for us not to make the playoffs.

    ---------------------------------------------

Well this game would have brought us within 6 1/2 and instead the Rockets are now 8 1/2 games out. Though the Rockets missed a great opportunity something unusual happens in these next two weeks.

Minnesota plays Denver, L.A Lakers, Pheonix, and Denver again. 3 of the 4 teams they play are ahead of the Rockets.

So the question comes do you want the T-Wolves to go 4-0 and gain some breathing room but help us catch the teams that are ahead of us for the final spot OR hope they lose and stay as one of the teams to catch?

Keep in mind Pheonix lost to Seattle, the T-Wolves dont have Terrell Brandon until mid-February, and (just think I should throw this in) the Mavericks finally signed Dennis Rodman (Good or Bad?).

Just wanted to hear your thoughts.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Utah has a six game losing streak going on. Just another reminder! [IMG]

Phoenix is now the 8th seed, and they might be the most vulnerable... If they lose to Seattle again (tomorrow?), then I hope they lose to Minnesota as well. That would put us 6 1/2 games back of Phoenix if we win our next game, with 2 head-to-head games left (and we've actually played Phoenix well, unlike Minnesota). If we can win those two (and we'll need to), that's 4 1/2 games out with 30-35 games left.

    Finally I found my home!

Frankly speaking, I've been quite sick of hearing how it's a good chance for the Rox to get a good lotto pick.

I'm totally for the Rox to make a playoff run! And as you all said, the chance is not that slim.

If you look at the schedule you will notice something interesting, the Rox started the season 2-10, then they were coming together and went 5-2 with both losses coming in overtime, after this, CB4 was injured and they went into a downward spiral to put up 3-13, since then the team came together and getting points from elsewhere posted a record of 9-3, when Francis went down we have been 0-2. If you consider these numbers, when we can have a stable starting unit that has been playing together for a while the Rox are about a .750 basketball team. Barring further injuries, I would say that gives us a pretty good chance of making the playoffs IMHO.
