Agree with you totally on McGrady, but I don't see the problem you have with Doc. The man was Coach of the Year with absolute scrubs. What more does he have to do?

There is no doubt that chemistry matters.

Please remove this picture. There are people here who like comparing Tmac to KG. This photo might make them feel foolish for comparing a guy who really is a warrior on the court to a guy who likes to yuck it up during losses. On second thought, it is too late for them.

Great players find a way to score, Pierce if you notice goes to the line 600/700 times in a season....like Kobe/Arenas/Wade/Lebron/etc......

Our superstar T-Mac has gone to the line 300/400 times per season as a Rocket. When he averaged 32pts/game he went to the line 700 times in his Orlando days....

Guys lets get real here, T-Mac is not the same player, lets not try to make him out to be something he isn;t, his #'s are very average, .439 Shooting %, .329 from 3pt, .720 from FT line and .....his rebounding has also gone down from 7 in his Orlando days to 4.7. The only stat that's improved is his assists...pathetic....let's not even try to compare him to PP.

sorry i thought this thread was about trading T-Mac..... :p

i went to check these FT stats and they arent true....

mcgrady got 700 fts only one season in orlando, his orlando seasons were between 500 and 600, the same as in houston aside from when he only played 47 games. once again someone exaggerates to try and tear t-mac down

The more I watch the more I think its almost a lock they win the championship. I'm not a huge fan of either of them, but I have supreme respect for Garnett's overall game, and even though I've always thought pierce was one of the most overrated players the last 10 seasons I respect how tough he plays year after year. I always thought his shooting was overrated given percentages but he is proving that the he is top natch talent with help who is a better shooter with the space created.

People talk about their supporting cast but give pierce's and allen's ability to handle the ball, point guard isn't a crucial need. They have enough rebounding in the big three to cover for any deficiencies from supporting cast in that area. The supporting cast is decent given the caliber of the three main guys. Both Pierce and Garnett are also very good defenders.

James Posey is a decent glue guy who's shooting well whom you have the luxury of not starting.

I think it’s a lock that they get to the Finals but I’m not sure about them winning it. I have to see them play SA to see how they match-up. The advantage that you have on a nightly basis with KG is gone because Duncan is better. Bowen will be able to make either Allen or Pierce work for theirs, and they have no PG to matchup with Parker. SA knows their system well, defends great and has title experience. This is all assuming they can make it out the West….

And when you add in the fact that Rondo does a good job handling the ball, they are fine at PG. Even without Rondo against the Lakers, Tony Allen was serviceable at PG. (Just wait until he gets his athleticism back). If Rondo keeps hitting those mid-range jumpers, the Celtics will keep winning at a very high clip.

When you consider they have James Posey, Tony Allen, Eddie House and Big Fatty coming off the bench, they are fine for the regular season. In the dog days coming up in Feb/Mar/Apr, they will need to dial down the minutes for PP and Ray Allen.

Kendrick Perkins is their main weakness. The guy gets lots of sweet passes from KG. Sometimes he finishes well but other games he looks like a D-League scrub who can't do anything right. If they could add somebody like P.J. Brown or another veteran C with more talent than Pollard, their roster would be set.

If the rockets guards made 1/3rd the open shots Tmac gave them, Tmac would look like steve nash rather then kwame brown..

stat sheet would read per game
    tmac:
    24pts
    12ast
    5rbnds
    2steals

Assist build confidence and team chemistry
The rockets have neither when we miss the open J's

Stop comparing Tmac to people who have shot makers on their teams for easy assists.

the celts are good, but even if they somehow break the '96 bulls' record (which is unlikely), a comparison between the two teams is a joke.

the '96 bulls would obliterate this team. jordan would totally outclass allen, pippen would absolutely shut down pierce, and rodman and kg would battle it out. bulls bench was also far better.

crazy how the league is a lot more watered down now.

Big win for the Celts tonight. Doc finished the game with Big Fatty instead of Perkins and he came through huge. The guy was just too strong for Rasheed to handle. Rondo didn't do very well but Tony Allen helped out.

Big Baby Glen Davis had a huge game last night. We were suppose to pick him in the draft, but I'm glad we got Brooks. Pretty funny how both rookies had career highs last night.
