I mean seriously, Twolves are 4 - 26 and seriously I cant see where they are going to get their next W from.

their last 2 games they have shown nothing, getting waxed by the other two worst teams in the West (Sonics and Clippers)

meanwhile in Boston KG has led the C's to a polar opposite 26 - 3.

How's Wolves management feeling right about now?

Minnesota better hit the jackpot in the lottery. I'm talking about getting a legit, franchise player. They have nothing going for them and even as greedy as NBA players are I just don't see many free agents wanting to go to a losing, freezing cold, with nothing to do city like Minnesota.

They got a once in a lifetime player in KG and screwed it up. They better hope they are lucky enough to get a second chance.

They didn't trade him to improve, genius. They were rebuilding. I'm pretty sure they knew they would suck.

    But 4-26 - 4 and friggin' 26?

if you had of told them this was how it would be working out there's no way Wolves management pull the trigger on this trade.

of course they would. how else are you gonna get the #1 pick in lottery except by being the worst team. 4-26 can be a hell of a lot better than 14-16 in the long run...

    Just ask the Spurs.

Ehh, they had a pretty good idea what this team was, it's pretty much the Celtics from last year minus Pierce, Rondo, West and Wally world, so take the 2nd worst team last year, subtract 4 of the 5 best players and that's what Minny ended up with.....

I watched most Celts games last year. They were bad even with Pierce and the others. They are historically bad now.

I'd rather be 4-26, get a top 3 pick in what looks like a good draft than be 11-19 and get a 8 pick in the draft.

    so what?

Number 1 pick will likely be Beasley, but is he much different from Al Jefferson?

Recent history shows that they'll end up with the 3rd pick. LOL

Well.. even if they don't get "the guy" this season.. they could get him the next season, or the season after that... you tank for about 3 seasons, collect a number of high draft picks, and pretty soon you're the Trailblazers winning 13 games in a row...

I think they came out better than most teams in their situation...

Dude...Minnasota can be a dangerous team in a few years...if they

Get a top 3 pick in the 2008 draft....(which is likely) and get a Michael Beasley or a Roy Hibbert to become their franchise player.

Develop Randy Foye....this guy has the potential to become all star.

Keep giving Al Jefferson mintues to develop his game.

This team could go far......but as for right now...they totally suck.

But man...this team will be freaky one day.

Yes, the T-Wolves killed themselves in the short term. But KG was past 30 and they were going nowhere with him. The trade gave them Al Jefferson, a guy with a legit post up game, who's already putting up All-Star caliber numbers, and will just turn 22 in a couple of days. Odds are that Jefferson will be a multi-time All-Star by the time his career is through.

KG is still a lot better than Jefferson now, but that's not going to be the case forever as he ages. At the very least, this trade swapped a star on the down side of his career with one on the rise. Now, the team is sucking extremely bad (so bad it's good, since they're out of the "No Man's Land" of medicocrity), and will probably get a very good draft pick next offseason.

I really like Foye also, he's been hurt all year. And Al Jefferson is a stud. So I like the core, just give it a year or two to rebuild and they should be decent.

It is going to take more than a year or two to rebuild. It's extremely difficult from playoff to bottomfeeder and back to playoffs in 2 years , after trading away their only star player. Utah has done pretty good timeframe at 4 years after losing Stockton and Malone.

Al Jefferson is actually putting up better numbers that KG in pts and rebounds. KG carried them and they suck without him. It is better to be bad a few years and have a chance for greatness than be stuck in mediocrity forever. I am sure the spurs are glad they tanked in 97. If they didn't get TD imagine where that franchise would be right now. The magic sucked, got dwight howard and will be good for years to come, same with Cleveland. The were going no where with KG they made a smart move.

Not to mention that this coming up draft has depth at one of the most important positions in basketball, pg. If they get derrick rose, they'll be good really fast.
