golden state always scares me. i guess any team with a physical/strong pg scares me. like most games, our keys to win will be high fg % and holding them under 100 points.

The key to beating GS and Phoenix and all those other fast teams is poise. What those running/small teams do best is to disrupt your offensive game by running up the score early and annoying you with hyperactive D. We have to remain poised, even if we are down by 10+, because if we start chucking and running wild, we are playing right into the hands of GS/Phoenix. We CANNOT shoot and run with GS/Phoenix because our team is not built that way. We have to keep to the game plan: use crisp ball movement and gritty post play to tire out GS's hyperactive D and beat up on the smaller GS defenders. With that said, Yao needs to dominate Harrington/Biedrins anytime he catches the ball down low. We cant have him bricking turnaround fadeaways when he has such a mismatch.

    Poise is the key.

Easier said than done, but we'll see. :D

gonna be a tough game to win but it'll be very encouraging if we do. brooks shouldn't play a lot in this game as baron davis will absolutely expose him to the max. brooks is suited for this style of play but its gonna be hard for him to find minutes with davis in the floor. he could be put on ellis but u risk putting head(too small) or bonzi(too slow) on davis which would create problems.

Will win as a team with appropriate coaching not falling into GS's style of play.

Yao Ming in this game could confuse the defence by facing the opposite way.when facing the basket the player fronting him will be also be in a delema as he wont know which side Yao in going to get the ball. It is about time that someone [likeRobt H used to] can manage to get the ball to Yao even when he is being fronted. Remember Hakeem had the same problem and Robert used to pass the ball over his head. :p

I don't think the team is struggling as much as they did in the past when teams front Yao, simply because of Adelman's offense. You can't leave the basket naked like that when a cutter can easily head to post pretty much unguarded or with a one-on-one situation.

As I have said last time, when playing against GSW, it's a great opportunity to
see how we fare against a team that front and double Yao full time. We failed last time though Francis contributed well to cut the lead before he bumped his tailbone. Our FT was horrendous the last time we met, so if we practise shooting and FT hard and come out firing, we should beat them down. Our shooters must make them pay for fronting Yao.

Tha GSW are quick and focus on snatching any passes to Yao. Based on how our team pass to Yao which is slow, careful and in hesitation, they will snatch those passes. I hope our shooters will shoot well and cause them to abandon the fronting. Initially, I hope our shooters will shoot the lights out and then Yao and Hayes/Scola instead focusing on getting passes, they can better focuses on grabbing offensive rebounds. These GSW players are midgets (sort of).

Warriors have a tough schedule after this game. Rockets need to capitalize on this.

Their backcourt size and speed might be a bad matchup for Brooks. Maybe time to dust off James for this game he had 19pts in the last game against them.

With most people expecting a loss, Rockets definitely will win.

    Works everytime.

Yao shoots 4 for 15, Rox shoots below 35% and loses by more than 25 points. This board explodes in a tsunami of negativity, and 50 threads will be started calling for Yao to be traded and Adelman to be fired. :p

    Prove me wrong, please.
