Maybe they're afraid fans will lose interest or stop going to games if they hear McGrady will be out for a long period.

I wonder if the rockets happen to go on a winning streak while he is out does this make him expendable? Even though history says that without T-Mac we are horrible, if we some how happen to go on a winning streak and when comes back the team does not play the same way and we are inconsistent again should we trade him?

the Rockets last year without Yao were great, did that mean Yao was expendable?

With Tmac out this longer, we really need to trade for another scorer who can drive to the basket and shoot. The team is playing well without him but we just can't rely on jacking up three pointers. Bonzi is the one giving this team a different style of play together with Brooks..

The fact that this dude is going to be out for as much as a month with a knee condition that many guys play through without missing any time says all we need to know about how committed he is to this team.

I wonder what the team will do for for morale without McGrady there to yuck it up from the bench during losses and buddy up with the opposition during every dead ball?

How do you know he's Chinese? The only possible explanation is his screen name. Oh...Laoyi...alright. 'Lao' is the name of a country in South East Asia. You must now be very surprised that it actually has nothing to do with China. As for 'yi', you might think he is a fan of Yi Jianlian. But still, not all fans of Yi are Chinese, just like not all Yao's fans are Chinese. And he started using this name in 2006, way before Yi had become as well-known as today. Look, he might well be really Chinese for all I care. But I am more curious how you could be that affirmative about it.

One more question, what is the nationality of the people who hates on Yao. Did you investigate on that one too?

As one dimensional as Francis is he might just be able to make it work now that he won't be looking over his shoulder or trying to defer to McGrady. I say give him a shot again at SG but if he falls short this time then no more chances. At least we know he won't be telling the media he dreams of playing with Dwight Howard or trying to convince us that a knee bruise is damn near as severe as microfracture surgery.

Agreed, but with the way the West is shaping up, I doubt we can make the playoffs from 20-21. I've done it already but it's time for the group of us to adjust expectations for the season. Eventually it will be time to throw AB, Novak and Landry to the dogs and see what they can do.

I know this may come across as crazy to most of you, but maybe, just maybe, he is legitimately injured and this is the proper timetable for a recovery...

    Blew your mind, didn't I?

The level of hate for Yao or SF wasn't ever this high. I mean, people are just assuming the worst with Tmac and throwing him under the bus. Judge and Jury, and executioner. It's sad to see. If this board was around in 1989 I wonder what people would have written then - that Hakeem has no heart and was lazy probably.

I've been involved with basketball for 25 years on some level or another - organized ball and coaching a bit. I can't believe how hard fans can be on players sometimes and not understand the commitment and level of work guys go through....but you don't necessarily see that in an interview or whatever. And you know, every injury is different.

At the end of the day, only T-mac knows how limiting his injury in, because he's the one who has to feel the impact of it when we plays the game. Keith Jones has no idea.

You can get tendinitis and play through, or you can get tendinitis and have it be so painful that you can hardly walk. It's not the same for everyone. There's no rule about a bone bruise doing x or why.

All you can do is see how it plays out - speculating on motives is just annoying and damaging. You guys should be supporting t-mac and hoping he just gets better so he can return to the lineup.

There's absolutely no sign that T-mac and Adelman are not getting along.

like i said earlier, he will be questioned for the rest of his career ever since he confessed to slacking off in orlando whether he is legitmately injured or not. maybe not fair, but thats how its going to be.

Something dont work here, they say that he will miss up to three weeks and then, they say that he doubt that he will play the game vs Boston and Orlando.

Hope that he s not out for long.

all i got to say on the T Mac injury is that if you've ever had a knee injury then you will probably have a different opinion that if you've never had knee injuries. i play soccer and sprained my left knee, i tried coming back at around the 4 week mark, reinjured it on my second game, and now i'm on my 4th month of rehab with very little progress. so maybe i'm biased but i say rehab all you want Mac! just make sure you don't rush it.

ok so im confused. Is it a sprained knee or bone bruise, or both? I think a sprained knee can definitley take a long time to recover from. depending on the sprain...
