I'm not an OH or OF anything. TOF-YOH, TOH-YOF are all equally annoying.

Haha - it's like you're telling a guy with 20/20 vision to buy a pair of glasses when the real problem is he just got poked in the eye.

T-mac isn't selfish, that's your delusion. He does penetrate, he's the best passer on the team, and his FG% is pretty high especially considering that one of the games he played injured and he's forced to take a lot of bail-out-the-team shots with the shot clock running down.

The problem has been his team hasn't been able to provide support because they weren't adjusting to adelman's system - but they are now. That will make things easier for t-mac. They can't just stand around and watch t-mac and yao....

    that's the difference.

It's no problem if we play Memphis every round of the playoffs.

I don't negotiate with Rookies. I don't hate on T-mac, I just think he needs to finally show up this season as a LEADER. If Tmac scores 85 points a game and houston still loses, it doesn't matter. Tmac needs to do what Jordan did, make the players around him better through leadership on and off the court. Enough said.

T-mac wasn't adjusting to adelman's system. You can't hold the ball for 10 seconds trying to decide whether your jumper will be from 25 feet or 20 feet. You have to move the basketball,You have to instill confidence in your teammates,You have to be more of a playmaker but become a ball mover, which is passing the ball to move the defense instead of always looking for an assist. The offensive runs smoother now that he is out because he is a ball stopper and if one thing goes wrong he lose trust in his teammates and the system and go for self.

His attitude needs to change,They have moved the ball more than they every have this season also the multiple players in double figures because everyone is touching the ball looking to makeplays and become playmakers not just 2 people.

Here's a new thought. When do we see T-Mac making a hard cut to get an easy layup under the hoop? The rest of the team does it but does T-Mac?

    • Grizzlies also have lost 10 of 12 games and a few nights ago dropped a whopping 67pts vs the Pistons. As for the Raptors, they were without their starting PG and 2nd best scorer in TJ Ford, and Hayes was able to shold Bosh to 7-20. And I could also say where was that defense without T-Mac when Phoenix dropped 115 on us and the Nuggets dropped 112 on us?

And in the last game T-Mac played all 4 quarters, they had a season high 116pts and 29 assists.

There IS more balanced scoring, but that goes hand and hand with any star scorer that misses time and teammates need to pick up the slack. The offense is not better without T-Mac...102pts vs a struggling Grizzlies team and 91pts (while shooting under 40%) vs an average Raptors team is not exactly impressive.

The pick and roll thing was designed by ADELMAN, because for some odd reason he feels tht is the best way for the ball to get moved when T-Mac is on the floor. In the past few games with T-Mac he has gone away from this and used T-Mac much like he did early in the season (off ball/in iso's on the wing 15ft out which promotes high % shot taking), and thus his FG % has been better the last 2 games and the ball has moved as well as ever (unfortunately against Detroit missed layups by 3 different players off of nice passes hurt their offense, then when T-Mac went out it all went to hell).

I´ve seen many posters around the hate or not hate T-Mac.

    Let´s put some facts in.

    He doesn´t suck.
He isn´t exactly unselfish, nor selfish either.
He is cap wise a "huge load" because if you see what other teams get from a 20 million guy, you see someone who basically gives you a shot at winning it all (besides Shaq maybe) and you cannot assure that of T-Mac.
He is the best passer on the team.
He needs the ball too much YET he never played with an all star PG. (not to say a good PG at least)
He seems (to me) to take a lot of contested shots early on the shot clock. (Clarification on this one, i am not against early shots, but early contested shots, i bet T-Mac percentage is not the best on early contested shots, and why take a highlight shot at 20 seconds if you can try to get a better look and if you fail you do it at 1-3 secs)
He IS clearly too injury prone for his salary.
He lacks leadership, both by effort and off court example. (I hope more of our players start looking at Scola/Hayes for this)

anyone who wants to add other FACTS feel free, but let´s not get ironical or exaggerate thongs because that doesn´t help with any analysis.

Why would you have tmac making a hard cut for an easy layup? Why send him? You'd send someone like Chuck Hayes or Scola, or even Yao and Battier.

Someone the defense might leave behind because someone who gets the ball is a threat.

T-mac and Yao are going to be the guys MAKING the pass to the cutter.

Everything you said is open to interpretation and is opinion. Personally, here are the facts I bring to the table regading T-mac-

-Early in the season the guy was scoring 29PPG on 47% shooting until he injured his elbow. He had a few tough games with the injury, came back and had a few big games. He then injured his ankle, and hasn't been the same since.

-The team is 1 game above .500 with him in the lineup, and 5 games above .500 when he starts AND finishes a game.

-He has as many 40pt game already this year as all of last year.

-He has praised Adelman's system constantly.

-The team had its best game of the year with him on the floor.

-The team has won 50+ games 2 out of the last 3 years with him leading the way.

-You can count the number of players who regularly average 25/6/5 virtually every season on one hand.

-Last year he was the only non-PG to be on the assists ratio list as he had a career high with 6.5APG.

-Last year he led the team to a 21-11 record without Yao, scoring 30PPG on 45% shooting in that time as the offense was statistically better without Yao.

-Last year he had the highest usage rating in the league.

-Only twice since he arrived with the Orlando Magic in 2000 has he played less than 70 games.

Is that you Tmac??!!...How about you give your teammates a chance to grow and create their own offense once in a while instead of hogging the ball and forcing them to shoot right after you pass it off to them so you can get the assists.

Also, you might want to try hustling on the court once a while, and maybe show up to on the bench during games to root for your teammates if you're on the IR nursing your pink eye.

    1. His free through is no excuse low, He has all ability to do it over 80%.
    2. I still remember last all star game in houston, that time he played really bad, can not hit jumpers, can not hit free throughs, why? Cause his wife yell at him.... from that time I don't belive him any more.
