TMAC definitely enhances this team. The only thing I hate is that he likes to shoot long jumpers while we still have 20 seconds left in clock. If TMAC realizes this and makes a change, that would be nice.

He has a negative attitude, He quits on the system when things don't work out perfect,He sits alone during timeouts,His vibe is like he's above the team,He doesn't get dirty,He tried to balme the problems of losing on the system many times before magic johnson called spade,He did that to take the attention away from his lack of leadership. He even commented negative when shane hit the game winner the first game of the season, saying it was a bad shot that went in.

Forget all the X and O's it's leadership that this team needs and with Yao being the leader right now I see more stability and groundedness in the teams demeanor and play.

we can agree to disagree. I agree he isn't a leader, but he doesn't need to be. We have Yao for that, if he decides that he really wants to lead this team. I think he is as guilty as TMac for being a poor team leader. However, he has made some strides this season

Tmac will shoot that jumper until he retires. I came to realize that's not going to change with him. That D-wade commercial, debating and end up with dunking, Tmac will always choose the jumper in that situation. He goes inside, he tries to avoid contact, not finisihing strong often. If he is agressive, he gets injured. Just have to live with that.

In regards to him not playing the system, I have been watching other teams lately a lot, I noticed most of the stars like Dirk, Kobe, they do pretty much what Tmac does, one pass and ISO. The difference is that they have other teammates being able to step up. We need our role players to step up. That's the key.

This thread was not supposed to be about McGrady. For one thing, arguably the best game we played during this little mini-run was with T-Mac in the lineup (against Chicago), doing his thing.

This thread was supposed to point out that maybe this team is coming together. Maybe we are starting to understand what Adelman expects from us a little better. And maybe we need to realize that things can pick up just as quickly as they went downhill, so there is no need to panic at this point.

We played well because everyone hustles on defense. When MacLady plays, he doesn't hustle on defense, which leads to openings. Check out our defensive rotations the last two games and we were on point like the JVG days.

Plus the quickness of luther and AB helps tremendously on defense.

I recall last season we allowed something like 8 more ppg in the games that McGrady missed... Yet somehow, this season, McGrady, our best player, is single handedly responsible when the whole team plays poorly on defense AND on offense. It's amazing how far some fans will go to find a scapegoat when things go badly for a couple weeks.

And again, you guys are missing the point of this thread. There are no conclusions to be drawn right now about which players are better or worse for this team. The fact of the matter is that this whole team is learning right now and really starting to come together. I'd be willing to bet that McGrady has found new inspiration in seeing this, too. We will probably only get better once we get him back in the lineup.

I hope a lot of you are just trying to reverse-mojo McGrady into playing inspired basketball... and that you aren't actually that horrible and short-sighted fans.
