Well the Houston Rockets said he's gonna miss at least 2 games....i.e. the Grizzlies and the Raptors.

TMAC himself said he's gonna miss at least 1 week.

So figure that out yourself whether he will play the Golden States Warriors game or not.

    Sure, Here is the link

    Story below

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

HOUSTON -- Tracy McGrady isn't in any hurry to rush back to the Rockets' lineup and will miss Houston's next two games to rest his ailing left knee.

    Tracy McGrady

    Guard-Forward
    Houston Rockets

    Profile

2008 Season Stats GM PPG RPG APG FG% FT%
    25 22.8 4.7 5.1 .439 .705

"Right now, I'm saying a week to see how I feel," McGrady told The Houston Chronicle. "Come in here, get a couple practices, get up and down the court. Don't want to rush it because we don't want the same thing to happen again. We'll see."

McGrady missed the second half of the Rockets' 97-92 loss to Orlando on Dec. 19 with soreness in the knee. He sat out Houston's loss to Denver the next night.

He played a total of 50 minutes in Houston's last two games, a win in Chicago on Dec. 22 and a loss to Detroit on Dec. 23.

An MRI exam performed on Monday revealed swollen tendons in the knee, but no structural damage.

"It's definitely a relief," McGrady told The Chronicle. "I thought I had something torn in there. That's not the case. It's just sprained. I'll probably be out a week. I don't really know. I can't really put a timetable on it. I know I'll miss the next few games."

The Rockets play Memphis on Friday and Toronto on Saturday. McGrady is expected to return for Houston's game against Golden State on New Year's Eve.

McGrady is the NBA's 10th leading scorer, averaging 22.8 points per game. He also leads the Rockets with 5.1 assists per game.

Also Thursday, Yao Ming missed practice with flu-like symptoms, but the team said he is expected to play on Friday.

With T-Mac you never know. It depends on how T-Mac's jump shoot falls. Ii they fall, Rox win. If not, Rox will trail by double digits at half, and T-Mac may not even bother to come back due to his serious knee injury.

The only reason that we didn't see him came to the game and cheer for his teammates is the precaucious decision as his injury may be worsen if he came to the game.

Does macalu play for the Rockets?

I didn't watch most of the game because I was watching football, and i dozed off some, but from what I saw, they played pretty well.

Is this only our second win with out T-Mac, life time?

I like T-Mac, he is at least one of the most talented five players in this league.
He is even more talented than K24 imo.
The problem is his attitude, his fighting spirit and weak body.
T-Mac is lazy, at least much lazier than K24, as a bball player, you must keep practice hard everyday, which would help keeping your body in good condition, Kobe does so, and he is in good condition almost everyday.
T-Mac lacks the passion, the winning heart, he gives up so easily, which hurts this team.
When T-Mac is in good condition, nobody can stop him, but when he is in trouble, he is too lazy to fight back.
I desperately hope T-Mac picks the mental toughness, coz this team needs him and he is and will always been one of the most talented players in NBA, and a tough T-mac will bring us what we need.

good win, rockets played good team basketball...I really hope that this can continue when t-mac comes back, because then we could be a threat.

thanks.. we will see of he plays - should be interesting. I gotta admit I used to defend t-mac alot and give him the benefit of the doubt. However, now I find myself assuming the worst, perhaps unfairly.

Not sure you watched the game. Half of Bonzi's shots were inside strong to the hoop. He missed a lot of those tonight. I am not too concerned. I just happens. He has to keep playing like this, posting and cutting. I dont like him standing outside shooting, but he will do that several times a game, and just have to live with that. Overall Bonzi's been playing to his strength.

Yao was called 2 or 3 offensive fouls, which are mostly BS calls. So that's 2 - 3 TOs there, which probably wont happen again. He as called traveling once or twice, which doesnt often happen to him. His TO was high (8) tonight, but I can recall maybe 3 or 4 was his fault(weak passing etc). But again, he handels the ball a lot, and initiates the offense, so we just have to live with that. I think he has improved a lot holding on to the ball compareed with last year. The key stats tonight is +18 points while he is in. That says it all.

Battier probably will rarely take 10 + shots. He chooses his shots well. If he goes volume a little more, you will see his percentage goes down.

Head, despite big treys down the stretch, I think, had an ok game.

    Hah! Good one! :D

I was at the game today and am glad the crowd was pretty good. Was anyone else at the game today? During those half time flex-cam some guy did the whole take-off-his-shirt-and-flex thing that the little asian kid does.. and he took off his belt and almost unbuttoned his pants. Then some security guy yanked him and ejected him from the building. I thought that was pretty unfair since the cameraman pretty much induced it by keeping him on camera. Was this a setup?

No, I believe the record without Tracy is 13-44 (or something close to that). However, it is the first time where the Rockets have won consecutive games without Mac.

Rockets are playing very well without T-Mac.

The whole team stepped up and it looked great. Bonzi could have done better from the field but it's no big deal.

Yao played fantastic. So did Rafer. Major props.

post game press conference with adelman:

hes really sold on brooks. Went as far as he wants to give him more freedom on the offensive end and that he is threat.

With the bad flu Yao should have kept talking and coughing to those refs. Seriously one more successful flop on Yao in the 3rd quarter the game may have gone different direction.
