I was thinkin the other day about the upcoming draft and I had an idea if we couldn't come away with Yao Ming. How about we draft Dajuan Wagner and put him at the two, and then trade mobley to the grizzlies for Pau Gasol, the grizzlies do not want michael dickerson so it qould work check out the lineups. The only bad part about the deal is it would bother our star guy in his contract year, but then again I love Stevie to death, but I dont want aplayer who thinks he is the GM, maybe he will demand a trade then, and we come out with Kwame and someone else

Rockets if Francis demands a trade
    C-Cato C-Brown
    pf-Griffin pf-Griff
    sf-Gasol sf-Gasol
    sg-Wagner sg-wagner
    pg-Francis pg-mooch

    Grizzlies
    C-Wright
    pf-Swift
    sf-Battier
    sg-Mobley
    pg-Williams

Let's just tear the team apart before we even see what they can do together, huh?

Gasol is going to be better tham Mobley in time, and his play (and youth) have shown that. The Grizz would be stupid to trade a big man for another shooting guard, especially with Dickerson, Battier, and Gasol (whether or not they like Dickerson) - and their dearth of big men as it is.

And why would you even mess with chemistry as it is? There's no guarantee that Steve wouldn't just walk to another team leaving the Rockets with nothing. The Wiz would be foolish to trade Kwame for him, especially if Francis demanded a trade out.

if he is a restricted free agent, we basically control him, so unless the wiz give us a whole lot back well justt keep him and bench him like GS with Marc Jackson

And lose any chance of ever getting another free agent to play for your team? No way. Francis commands a lot more respect and clout than MJax - doing something like that would be fatal.

Restricted free agents are only under a team's control up to the level of the mid cap exception. $1 over and the previous team has no shot at him unless they have the cap room.
