I love Clyde, but damn! He could had NightingaleConant record that long speech, but I still enjoyed every munute of it, especially when he called Juluis Irving Julius Ceaser.
The moments with Dream were touching ... I love Clyde, but he's never been the "quote machine"... some good stuff though. Such a class act.
Of all nights to miss the first half of a game. Dag on dinner with the wife. Was it retired in the old red and gold? Forget Sportscenter with their supposed knowledge of a Isiah Rider "Dreamshake" That show and go by Hakeem in the beginning of the fourth damn near brought tears to my eyes. I think the Dream is actually having fun with the younger guys tonight, and I swear--I think I saw the corners of Shandon's lips raise a little. It could have been a smile, but maybe he just had an itch.
Dreamshake -- yep, retired in the old red and gold. The frame they gave him had both jerseys in it .... the jersey they raised was red and gold.
I nearly cried when Imy contact shifted to the wrong side of my eye. Anyways it was enjoyable. I though when the second half that Barkley's rehibilitation might be complete. It was very long but very enjoyable.
They should've had the team wear the old uniforms for one night. They should definately do that for Hakeem when he retires. I don't mind the new logo, but I still hate the pinstripes.
It's all about the $$$. The gold and red uniforms might have done well in Houston, but across the nation Rockets stuff didn't sell to well. The new uniforms aren't that bad at all except they need some touches. Take the Rockets bball logo off the front and the pinstripes. Center the jersey number in the front, and put Houston -on the road, and Rockets - in front at home. A simple solution to a tough problem. When the Rockets first talked about uniform changes during the 95 season, I thought that they were going to introduce a third jersey. The Atlanta Hawks used this kind of jersey a couple of years back. They had white for home, red on the road, and occassionally wore black. All uniforms had gold trim. I wish the Rockets had done this instead of going with a new color scheme.
Smokey, That's a bunch of Bull, literally, about the Rockets jersey not doing well nationally because of the way it was designed. The Chicago Bulls stuff sold quite well, and they had WHITE home jerseys and RED road jerseys that were very similar to ours. Sure the old unis could've used a touch up here and there, but the total overhaul they received was a disasterous one. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem.
