Just curious what everyone out there is doing.

I was talked into going to the "B-L-T" (Black Tie, Lingerie, or Toga) thing at Warehouse Live by my brother. I live in Austin so I know nothing about it. I'm not really in to the music that seems is going to be there and I usually like a more laid back NYE. My wife wants to do this, though. No, she's not wearing lingerie. She doesn't get many opportunities to dress up, so this is it. I just hope it's worth the money ($85 per ticket).

Probably make funny faces at my daughter, watch the Rockets, then pass out around 10pm.

Nothing great. Going to a friends house in freaking Fairfield. You can at least shoot off fireworks there.

I'm going to get a ton of ladybugs:

Going to a nice dinner and then back to the house to hang out with friends. I hate being out on New Year's Eve.

I'd so much rather do either of these things than what I'm doing...except I'd be playing trains with my 2 yr old son...not making funny faces at Drewdog's daughter.

It does include all drinks, some food, and champagne at midnight. I just don't think I'll be down with the crowd. I'm only 32 and I think I'll be one of the older one's there.

Gig downtown. Personally, I'd rather just stay in and avoid all the idiots on the roads but you do what you gotta do...

    Exactly what I'll be doing.

Thank God for kids. They give you a built in excuse not to be around all those drunk morons at midnight.

As for fireworks, does anyone know of some good fireworks stands, specifically in the SW/SE side of Houston?

    Good variety/not too overpriced

    Appreciate the info.

speaking of firework stands, i love their "buy 1 get 5 free" advertisement.

"ok, i'll have a pack of 100 black cats."

    "Sure, that'll be $10!"
