I'm wondering why he doesn't walk from the locker room to the bench when he's traveling with the team but not playing (like in Denver).

No - all t-mac cares about is scoring points and holding onto the ball. He doesn't care if we win or lose, only that he makes us win or lose. Don't you know, he can't be rehabbing his knee because his knee isn't really hurt. He's just a mclady who wants to stay home and make cakes for everyone. He is staying home to watch the Patriots game since he cares more about football. And he wants to go dancing on that knee and party - not go to memphis. Actually, he's jealous of Yao, and is mad at the team for trying to play well without him. He's trying to get traded to Chicago so he can be like michael jordon - didn't you know that? At Denver, he didn't coem out because he's so lazy to walk and really he just was lying on the couch in the visiting locker room sipping on slurpies and playing himself on NBA Live.

We should trade him for Boki or John Lucus - or anyone else because the team is obviously better without him.

Because McGrady is a Diva who thinks it's beneath him to do those type of "team" things.

When does an injured player travel with the team? It's usually pretty normal for injured players to NOT travel with the team.

Well don't you think that he's for one better off staying in Houston vs. Memphis to get treatment for his knee???? I mean, the rockets staff has come out and said they plan to treat it "aggressively". Don't you think they can be more "aggresive" in Houston that while traveling?

And what's up with this requirement that an NBA player hit the road with the rest of the guys? So he can eat hotel food and sit in the stands with a suit on? If it was a home game, yeah, he totally should make it to the game. But to fly to Memphis when he needs to rest and treat a knee? Frankly, even if his injury didn't require rest nor treatment, I don't see why he should be made to travel.

The NBA schedule is grueling enough, might as well give a player a break when he's injured and spend some time with his family.

And I think his teammates know whether or not T-mac is dedicated to sucess and trying to make everyone better. The fact that not a single team-mate nor the coach has lodged any kind of criticism or complaint in T-mac's direction should be enough.

Yet everyone speculates on what? Nothing. Geez, why try to create controversy when their is none? You guys are contributing to rumors and speculation - enough of which if it goes around can actually cause problems. Don't make up stuff without any evidence.

It depends on what kind of injury. An injury as series as T-Mac's, of cause, he has a good reason not to travel with the team. Even he travels, he has a reason not to come to the game, as that which worsen his injury.

If McGrady is under a microscope from the fans it is because he has brought it on himself with the way he has conducted himself over the course of his career.

It gets really comical when people start acting as if McGrady has been Jordan-esque when it comes to his commitment to the team and winning in his career and thus always deserves the benefit of the doubt.

We know four things about McGrady:

    He is fragile
His threshold for pain is equivalent to a 10 year old girl
He exaggerates injuries to the media
He likes to take credit for wins and let his teammates take blame for losses

Yep, sounds like he deserves our respect and the benefit of the doubt.

This brings up something I have been wondering about lately. IF this team made it to a game 7 in the NBA Finals I am relatively certain Tmac would suddenly come down with "flu-like symptoms" in order to appear heroic if he plays well and team wins or to shield himself from criticism if he played poorly because he did his best even though he should have been in bed. Just a thought. I'm sure we'll never get the answer.

But I still like him and wanna keep him unless we get a KOBE, or something like an Artest and Bibby. Otherwise, we need to trade to help him and Yao..not separate them. I'm mostly on the let's keep our premadonna band wagon!

If you're going to be self-righteous, you might want to learn how to spell the word correctly first.

Who the hell are you talking to? Did I say he had to go with the team to memphis? No. I merely stated I didn't think his injury didnt require serious rehab, and admitted I could be wrong. Chill out.
