I'm going to watch this regardless as I'm a fan of the Predator and Alien movies.

I still reckon the original Predator movie with Arnie and the Aliens movie with the marines are the best in the series.

That's a shame, I had hoped that since it was rated R and the gruesome deaths you've seen in the R rated trailer and the opening scenes of the movie online meant it would at least be fun.

The acting was not that good.

Studios would leave 'em alone if moviegoers stopped watching them ;)

The R rating seemed to make it a little more promising, but the present day setting just s**ts on some of the very aspects that made the (alien) series great (half the time at least).

The first one was directed by Paul WS Anderson who's a hack, plus it was PG-13. I probably wouldn't have gone if I wasn't living in College Station where going to the movies was one of the few interesting things to do outside of my apartment.

Anyways, there was an R rated trailer that looked pretty good as far as mindless popcorn movies go.

Hopefully, this will be the last one. These people who have been making these films don't have a f**king clue compared to the genius of Ridley Scott.

I wonder how bad a game for this movie would be.

well the most gruesome was the pregnant girl getting french kissed and babies being eaten by the predalien. the movie suxed.

i was hoping for an all out rumble between the preds and aliens. what a huge disappointment . they send one lone predator against a bunch of aliens and the predalien.

(granted i havent seen it, but im sure it does)

that is disappointing. I don't know why they dont just do the all out rumble type of flick.

even if the acting sucks, the plot weak, etc etc...they could make up for it with all out action.

    1 freaking predator?! boooo!

    how about Predator vs Critters?

the ending should have had............... the predator thinking he has killed the predalein and everything is okay..........BUT then he is surrounded by like 100 aliens, then a predator ship decloaks and all the preds appear, we then have an all out rumble. that would have been cool.

Saw it the on X-mas, it sucked pretty bad. Movies dark, lighting wise, so you can't see anything when actual action occurs plus the single predator was just stupid esp. considering he appeared to be some sort of clean up agent.

I actually thought it was pretty decent, both when I saw it in theaters and again on the DVD. Maybe it was my lowered expectations, but it seemed much better than the original AvP. While it would be best to have it set in the time period of Aliens (like all the AvP books and video games), it wasn't bad for a mindless action flick. Lots of Aliens, neat Pred gizmos, people being generally useless, about what one would expect. At least the gratuitous female hero wasn't a wilderness guide this time around.

saw it in NY during my trip there for NYE. should have been set in the future. weird how some of the most obvious ideas are not adopted when it comes to movies. stupid people out there in charge

I expected a lot of mindless killing, so it wasnt that bad. It could've been much better but overall I liked it.

I didn't think the first AVP was THAT bad, but this one totally sucked. Not worthy of a DVD rental.
