Man, I hate it when you have a bunch of snot in one nostril and nothing in the other. Things would be so much more practical if the snot was more evenly distributed between the nostrils. At night, at least you can turn over on your other side and the snot will slowly move from one nostril to the other. Rinse, lather, repeat. But when this happens at work, there's not much you can do about it, short of sitting at your desk with your head tilted in one direction. I live for that moment when the snot is moving from one nostril to the other, and just for a brief blissful moment, while the snot is in transition, your nose is completely clear.
lmao. best snot post ever. if you eat something really hot it helps to loosen it and you can breathe through both for a short time or you can tilt your head and it will move easier to the other.
this is what i do when im in your situation. hold your nose and blow like your popping your ears. it will clear the snot for a split second. during that time, snort it out and hock the flem out as a lugi. i hope this helps.
I had a roommate in college who would constantly sniff for no reason at all - like he was trying to alleviate snot from his nostrils. I wouldn't have minded as much but he did it so obnoxiously loud that you could hear it throughout the entire house. Sounded like he was doing a line of coke in the bathroom every morning.
it works but the snot will return so you have to repeat intermittently. itll give you a good 2-3 minutes of relief.
it depends. if your nose is running then it will only give you maybe 1 min at best. and you have to constantly repeat. but lets say your nose is just stuffed. then repeat until it eventually clears up. but itll take several repeats.
Until you get hooked on the stuff. What will happen is the muscles in your nasal passage get used to it and will tighten up when they want more. That means no breathing through the nose until you get more. I have to severely limit how much I use if I get a cold because this happens. I once was stuck on the stuff for 2 months. Yes, I have issues.
A little off topic, but one of my nostrils is blocked at all times. And whenever I have a cold I can't breathe at all. Is this normal?
