I feel like I am in another time. I feel as if I've been here before. I thought the curse of the Juwan had left and been cast upon the black heart of Dallas.

Why do our best warriors fall at terrible times? The marathon of a season is in full stride. It is not early anymore. We lose more than we win. Could we be starting a bi-annum tradition of mediocrity?

We will not be around for the playoffs(1).

Curse of Juwan? I'm not so sure this team isn't missing Juwan right now. He was a team leader and a pretty smart veteran PF who would be handy right now on a team struggling to figure out Rick's cheme and with Scola busy trying to figure out the NBA game.

    Yeah,good old Juwan,kinda miss him.
Question is,was that Juwan-MJ trade so good?
Mike is playing horrible, sad but true, shoots like Rafer's cousin.

If we didn't do that trade, would we have gotten Scola?

We miss Juwan's leadership, maybe. Other than that, I'm just fine with our PFs. Juwan's looked horrible in Dallas, the few times I've seen him play.

I do not miss Juwon Howard at all. Juwon was a solid pro while he was here. He was nothing special but did not bring much to the team. As for the James-Howard deal, I would do that again in a heartbeat. James brings energy, scoring and toughness that Howard did not possess. Granted, James is struggling, but I would still much rather have James as my option off of the bench.

There was a time in this season where it was starting to feel like 2005-2006. I want to believe that this team is better and will not have as much bad luck as that team did. That team was cursed.

I think so. Adelman seems to have liked Scola a whole judging from his quotes.

As for Juwan on this team... I think he would serve a purpose in games, assuming he plays at the same level he was at last season. It isn't bad to have another option when either Scola or Chuck struggle (with fouls and what not... which happens fairly often). Mutombo has not look great so far offensively, at least Juwan brings another look as a high post shooter/passer.

In any case... I wonder if Morey would reverse that deal now if he could... after all, even if neither JUwan nor James sees any court time, Juwan's contract is a year shorter and would be easy to dump.

Juwan for Mike James is a loss-loss trade for both teams.

    - The Rockets pay Trade Kicker + Mike James salary + J Reed salary for a player who's now nailed on the bench and his contract has 1 more year than J Ho.
    - The T-Pups paid 11+ millions buyout for J Ho in order to get rid of Mike James and J Reed's contract.

That's more the curse of Mike James than J Ho.
