Anybody notice the January & Febuary scheudle? 1/2 @Boston 1/4 @Orlando 1/5 NY 1/8 Washington 1/9 @NY 1/11 Minnesota 1/13 New Orleans 1/15 Philadelphia 1/19 San Antonio 1/21 Seattle 1/23 @Seattle 1/25 @Portland 1/27 Utah 1/29 Golden State 2/1 @Indiana 2/2 @Milwaukee 2/4 @Minnesota 2/7 Cleveland 2/9 Atlanta 2/11 Portland 2/13 Sacramento 2/19 @Cleveland 2/21 Miami 2/22 @New Orleans 2/24 Chicago 2/26 Washington 2/29 Memphis Only Boston and San Antonio are elite and all the rest are winable. Only 4 back to back and 2 are Vs NY Knicks. We could go 14-0 in Febuary! Its about time.
I actually think the schedule's tough. Not as tough as December, but we play some pretty dangerous teams. No team in this league is easy to beat with the exception of the T-wolves, Sixers, a mercurial knicks squad, and an injured Wizards and Clippers.
So many tough team for us, and toogh skedual. While Rox is still learning Adelman's offense. Let's give the team two more months to adjust. Hope in March and April, we can win some games so that we will not be the dead last position.
Those theam look tough for us now but ain't we "supposed" to be on par with SA, Dallas and Phoenix at the beginning of the season? If Portland can have a 11-0 run, I can't see no reason the Rockets cannot. Its Christmas....
Sounds good...on paper. Not to be cliche, but games aren't won on paper. I'm sure most basketball (or any sport, for that matter) fans know that by now. The team has to go out there and play well. Not just snatch games. Scraping by with wins here and there is good and all but when the playoffs come around it's going to be a rude awakening. I believe we will make the playoffs, for the record.
well the schedule has to balance out at some point. i'd like to see the rockets make a trade before new years, then start rolling.
Finally a soft schedules, a few wins will make this team believe again and to regain their confidence back.
It doesn't matter who we are playing, but how we are playing. If we aren't running any semblance of a fluid motion offense by the end of that schedule I don't see much hope for us in the the playoffs.(thats if we get there)
I agree, very comfortable schedudele,I badly want to see Rockets from start of this season.Remember-Yao & T-Mac were players of the week,6-1 score. It's not anymore about the offense, they're proffesionals. It's now about MOTIVATION,DESIRE,PASSION,HEART,HEALTH and ofcourse defense and shooting. This month is crucial and will see does it get Houston to a good playoff seed or playoffs for that matter.
No schedule is "soft" for a poorly performing team. Yes, a few signs of life recently, but nothing to get overly optimistic about. Without major changes the Rockets are a .500 team, likely lottery bound, with a horrible history in the draft. What's the good news?
When other teams see the Rockets on the schedule, I'm sure that are saying, "this should be an easily winnable game"
I don't know how we can take any win for granted with what we've seen from this team this year. I'm not saying a run won't happen, but i don't think you can assume anything at this point. Sure hope the Rockets agree.
I'm sure that's exactly what the Jazz, Lakers, Spurs, Suns, and especially the Nuggets are saying these days.
we could conceivably win 15 to 17 in a row...easy ass road games...we should dominate at home...its time to roll fellas
We should take advantage of this schedule and start piling up the wins.We can really build some confidence an get comfortable with the system. We need a break just like boston,San antonio, phoneix, portland and evrybody else. A lot of these so called hot teams have had the benifit of a SOFTTTTT schedule while we had the most brutal schedule early on.Maybe it's good we are going through our issues early on this way we get all the negative enegry out the ay and come playoff time we are ready to roll because we play well against the elite teams and probbaly the only game where I think we didin't compete was the last game we played Dallas at the toyota center. We should be able to take care of business during this stretch.
About time we hit the soft spot. The record of teams we played against is 0.545, highest in the league. The Hornets had an easy schedule with 0.489 for the record of the teams they played against. Hornets and Nuggets will drop. Lakers and Portland have had a tough schedule, too. I expect Portland to higher up in the seedings, when their schedule weakens.
