No Rex isn'd good. I don't remember the Bears defense giving up 157 points over a 6 game span last year nor do I recall the Titans return man scoring 6 td's this season. What's Rex's record this season?

You have to factor in that part of the reason the Titans defense is good is becuase they run so much and keep the d rested. What big names are on their d besides Haynesworth? The reason they are so good at running - Vince Young. Check any rb's career stats college or pro and then check their stats once they start playing with Vince. The outside lb's have to stay in contain which opens up the middle for the rb's. This probably all makes no sense at all to any of yall though because it's not reflected on Vince's stats so forget I mentioned it.

I like the Rockets but unlike everyone else on this board I'm not blinded by being a huge homer. T Mac just doesn't have what it takes to win a ring, its pretty clear having seen what it takes 12 years ago. He's clearly regressed since the year we lost to Dallas in the playoffs.

Mario Williams had 14 sacks this season and the Texans still did not win one game in their division. Clearly you can see a good de doesn't impact wins and loses nearly as much as a qb or even an o-lineman. Terrible pick.

But they still won 7 games. In the Tampa Bay game, the Bucs were in the redzone threatening a score that would pull them within 7 with around a minute 1/2 left in the game. They score then, and onside and they can get the lead. (What the Texans did to the TItans this season). It was 3rd and short and Mario got a sack that made it 4th and long and the Texans stop them. MARIO SEALED THAT GAME.

In the denver game, Mario was part of a sack on 4 different drives! Sacks most of the time ruin a drive. Not only do they waste a down but they back a team up which makes them one dimensional in that they have throw and they have to throw long.

Guy, please go to my post on the other page and read everything. You are really really really wrong.

The Texans were 2-14 the year before they selected Mario. Yes, I know there were other changes besides adding Williams, but you seem to leave them out when discussing the Titans so I'll do the same here. Clearly, this means that Mario meant a four game difference last season and a five (possibly six) this season. Great pick.

They won seven games the year before they won two, they had no business winning two games that year, went in the tank. 2 wins, 7 wins, 9 wins, all the same. It's playoffs are no playoffs. That's what you play for. The Texans haven't sniffed the playoffs in 6 years and don't appear on any track to be anything but last place the next 5 years.

Last year, Grossman was 13-3 as a starter with a 73.9 RAT, throwing 23 TDs and 20 INTs. The Bears were 15th in the league is receiving yards and 15th in rushing yards. There was in fact a 6-game stretch where the Bears defense gave up 135 points, yet the team still went 4-2 in that timeframe. (The Titans went 2-4 in their down period.) The Bears were #5 in total defense, and they had 3 Pro Bowlers on defense. (This year, the Bears defense dropped like a rock to the #28 rank, and surprise surprise, Rex is 3-5 this year with a 66.4 RAT. Think a good defense helps?)

This year, the Tennessee Titans, like the Bears last year, are ranked #5 in total defense and have 2 Pro Bowlers on defense. The Titans are #5 in rushing yards and #27 in receiving yards. VY is 8-6 as a starter with a 69.5 RAT, throwing 9 TDs and 17 INTs.

Sadly, Grossman was BETTER last year than Vince was this year. Oh, and Rex is 23-13 (64% winning percentage) in games he's started in his career, and Vince is 16-11 (59% winning percentage). But, hey, if you think Rex sucks, then you have to think Vince sucks too, right? I mean, clearly, Rex just wins. Hey, Tarvaris Jackson is 8-5 in his career for a 61.5% winning percentage. Surely he's great, too.

I'll give it to you this way jmftexas,

if Vince was our QB this season, we'd be standing around with only around 2 wins. nuff said.

LOL... you've just discredited your entire argument. If anything between 2-9 wins is "all the same" as long as there's no playoffs, then what have the Titans done in terms of wins and losses (this year and last year) that the Texans have not?

    9 TDs
    17 INTs

How bad do you have to play before people start saying, ok, you aren't very good?

VY is only about 2 INTs behind the league leader despite being 17th in pass attempts. On top of that, many pass plays are very short, conservative plays. His y/a is pretty low.

Right now, Vince is still mostly about potential and whether he can fulfill it. He has some great tools, but saying he has helped his team, or "led" his team, this year is BS.
