I made all of these predictions several weeks ago (without any knowledge of whether or not TMac is playing). Doesn't seem to have made a difference ....

Most of that is due to the good product. It was one of the quietest arenas during the years when Dallas was consistently one of the worst teams in the league.

The fact is that basketball is relatively bigger in the north and northeast and down to the Carolinas than it is in the deep south.

Even when teams are bad in those areas, fans show more support than fans for similarly bad teams in the south.

Not really. Sorry to say, Dallas is just a much better sports town than Houston.

We have learn a lot of things about this team. The francis thing was a illusion,so was the mike james thing.New coach and new system, tracy tried to sabotage everything with his negative attitude but magic busted him out so he will have to bring it or be looked at as the Goat now.Brooks and head have chemistry and they bring a faster rythym to the game and they play the system the right way,Yao 52 minutes in a game we should have won, dominating the reigning defensive player of the year, the new found offense agsint the bulls.

Many good things to build on,It took some time to find a little chemistry and cooperation and I think rick has found how he wants the team to play and also the players have now slowly started to accept the way rick wants them to play.We just need to be positive right now and let these wins coming flow because detroit is a great team, the only thing is tough with us is how we slowly are starting to find chemistry and what really works.

Francis didn't work and wasn't going to work. But the owners, the fans and evrybody insisted on seeing him and rick told everybody this dude doesn't have the same game.Knowbody wanted to listen adn now after 25 games they see francis doesn't have it anymore. No more houston 1999 stevie francise.

T-mac wanted to keep the 2 on 5 van-gundy thing going. He rebelled against the system,he spoke subtley negative on rick and the system. But it backfired with magic busting him out and the fans starting to see the real.It aint jeff or rick it's the chemistry and the unwillingness of tracy wanting to change as a player.T-mac can't hide anymore and cast blame on the coach or role players

Brooks and head have chemistry and they have taught the starters how to really run rick's system.

WE JUST NEED TO REST AND START BUILDING

Huh? T-Mac was going nuts to start the year when he was playing off ball and not in the pick and roll like JVG put him in. It was when Adelman started bringing the old offensive sets and philosohphies back to use T-Mac as a playmaker did he, and the team as a whole, start to struggle. Put injuries on top of that and you have a struggling T-Mac. He has not been outspoken about hating the system, and was praising the hell out of it before the season.

I do and that is why the Rockets should get whatever they can get for him before no one will want him and the Rockets will have to eat his contract for the next 3 to 4 years.

He praised it when it was working but as soon as they started to struggle he started to question,Are we a running team or what kind of team are we.

And the only reason rick went back to the old van-gundy stuff was because the team wasn't buying into the program and they started to revert and rick was saying they are used to playing a certain way.

But from the start of the season against utah and the lakers tracy was gunning. He led the league in scoring the first week and even after we were 6-1 rick was saying he wasn't happy with how we were offesnively because it was no balance.

i am not proposing to fire anyone, trade anyone, or start anyone. but i was just thinking about how much of a joke our starting lineup is.

battier is about the most useless person on this team. i am tired of hearing about his intangibles and this supposed great defense he plays. other than the fact that he can open 3s once in a while...what else does he bring?

hayes gives you some 2nd chance points but compared with the fact the only thing he can do offensively is layups created by TMac, he is another joke.

i think lot of times people just see the positives in people and forget about the things they are actually lacking.

we somehow has to find upgrades to these guys.

Well of course he did...you don't question something when it gets you to a 6-1 record.

Yes, but T-Mac was flourishing in the system was my point. And in retrospect the team wasn't exactly fire when he went back to the JVG ball.

But from the start of the season against utah and the lakers tracy was gunning. He led the league in scoring the first week and even after we were 6-1 rick was saying he wasn't happy with how we were offesnively because it was no balance.[/QUOTE]

Exactly...T-mac buys into the system, which was my point. Inf act he FLOURISHES in it.

I missed the game, but I'm not suprised we lost. It's just been the theme of inconsistency for the season.

    Really?

One point lost vs Denver without T-Mac.

Vs Orlando with a healthy T-Mac they can easily beat them, actually T-Mac force the issue to play vs them and hurt the rockets, replace that T-mac that can barely walk with a 90% T-Mac and Houston beat Orlando, they are not as good as they record say they been playing really bad lately, even their coach call them soft.

Today when T-Mac got hurt the game was anybodies game pretty close, and you never know what can happen.

Thats 3 games out of the 4 you predict we going to lose.

Do I need to remain you Houston Record without T-Mac?
