lol I love the pollyannaish "power forward protection for Yao" description given for Ben Wallace. uhh...the only apt description for him at this point is dead weight salary. we're going to trade our best player for a smaller, lesser player and a cap albatross? um, no.

not only that, but he's wondering if the bulls should take the risk on mcgrady. what a jokester that sam smith.

mcgrady has his issues but he's far and away better then any single player on the bulls. if they're talking deng plus gordon or heinrich then the rockets have to listen, otherwise i'd say no.

Uh, James Worthy is on the list of Top 50 in the history of the NBA. He'd be thrilled to be another Worthy.

This is the ONLY proposed move mentioned in this thread that works. NONE of the others work.

The Bulls would have to seriously gut their team if it wants McGrady without offering Ben Wallace. Wallace's contract makes it all work much easier so to do a trade someone would HAVE to absorb his contract I think...

McGrady being lazy and half assed showed he's more talented than Luol Deng. I like Deng but he's more Josh Howard-lite than impact player.

That right there is the most interesting line in the entire article, assuming it's true.

T-Mac + Alston for Deng, Gordon, Big Ben + first round pick.

Otherwise not interested in the least. I actually think Ben Wallace would be a great fit with Yao.

Ben Wallance sux the only thing he is good at his rebounding and blocking shots and he isn't even doing that well this year. He would be just another Overpaid Chuck Hayes. How clog is the lane going to be with both Yao and Wallace both parked in the paint? That has got to be the dumbest trade idea I have ever heard in my life. The only players I would trade Tmac for is Kobe, Lebron, or Wade since that is never gonna happen TMAC stays

Uh, I was making a comparison between Worthy an allstar supporting type of player which Deng is closer to, and Magic a franchise player which KG, Kobe, and TMac are closer to that type (well TMac maybe). If you read that I was saying literally Deng is the 2nd coming of Worthy, then you read it the wrong way. And if you think I'm saying KG, Kobe, or TMac is on the same greatest ever players plane as Magic, get a grip.

I'm making the distinction between franchise players and allstar supporting type players.

People need to check their reading comprehension, cause I certainly know who James Worthy was and what type of player he was.

    Wallace+Gordon+Nocioni

    McGrady+James.

That would have to make sense.

This trade revolves around on how bad Chicago really wants to unload Wallace.
No way do they let Deng go.
No way would Houston take on Wallace's contract without unloading Mike James.

I would rather unload James and keep Alston.

this ain't gonna happen people. if i were morey, there's no way in hell i would risk trading tmac away for a horrible contract of wallace just because we're having some setbacks. no way, not with Ademan's system anyway.

without wallace, its basically impossible to trade tmac's 18 Mill contract. and the bulls weren't even gonna trade away deng for kobe- KOBE for christ sake - what would they say to tmac....

to sum it up... sam smith, you're fuking r****ded.

I don't know if you could classify Worthy as a "supporting" player. He's one of the best who ever played the game, and he was one of those magic number guys for the Lakers. When he scored more than 20 points the Lakers were almost guaranteed a win.

The thing everyone should pay attention to with that article is the assertion that "insiders" at the Rockets are trying to figure out how McGrady fits in the new offense.

I don't understand how they are worried about how Mcgrady is gonna fit in the offense like he was gone for half of a season. Good coaches find a way to implement their players into the system not the other way around. Also if history proves right whenever there is a difference in coaching and players 90% of time when the trade the player and keep the coach the player always comes out better. Im not saying fire aldelman but he needs to create a scheme were he can maximize both yao and Tmacs strengths. The perfect coach I think would have been phil jackson but unfortuately that will never happen since he is banging jeanie buss and I dont think les has a daugther

    no prob...

Actually Les does have a daughter, and rumor has it that Matt Maloney had that. A little too young for Phil.

That would be awesome though if we could steal Nocioni/Deng/Henrich/Gordon..
