I just wonder what everyone thinks about a trade with Portland that would send Battier and James or alston for Jarret Jack and Darius Miles. That is ofcourse if Miles is active. This would give us an athletic 3 and a relatively serviceable guard.
portland would do that trade in a split second, which would tell you something about where miles is at.
This would be a terrible trade. Miles is always injured and makes a huge salary. Rumor in the offseason was possibly Battier for Jack and Outlaw, and you want to sub Miles in for Outlaw and include either James or Alston.
i say we need to bring back that random trade thread we had just last season. so helpful for people wanting to sound off on trade rumours.
thats not going to work at all d.miles is hurt i posted this trade scenario in another thread i would do it what do you guys think...... i did this three team deal let me know if you like this.... Chicago, Houston, and New Jersey. all three teams are struggling and need to make a change... Houston sends Tracy McGrady to New Jersey and Shane Battier and Kirk Synder to Chicago New Jersey sends Jason Kidd to Houston and Vince Carter to Chicago Chicago sends Ben Gordon and Joe Smith to New Jersey and Tyrus Thomas and Andres Nocioni to Houston This trade works. our lineup Kidd/Alston/ Head/James/Francis Nocioni/Wells/Landry Scola/Thomas/Hayes Yao/Hayes/Deke IR Novak and Brooks I would do it give up T-Soft, Shane, and Synder and get Kidd, Nocioni, and Thomas
haven't u watched miles' game, he can't fin in rox, right, he's got athleticism, but that's all he's got, if shane's gone, who's gonna make D?
Only problem with that trade is if Chicago wants to pick up Carter's bad contract. If NJ switches Carter with Jefferson then Chicago would do it in a heartbeat.
Oh, and I think that you might have to switch out Snyder with Bonzi because Chicago has absolutly no post up game at all
If the Rockets trade Tracy, I hope it's for an unprotected draft pick; especially one that has a chance of going high. This team desperately needs a stud point guard, and it's looking like the draft is the only way to get that type of player. Plus, I'm starting to think that the Rockets aren't even remotely close to winning a championship, and I'd prefer to see a full blown youth movement. Now, I'm just a fan and being a fan allows me to say crazy things, but I'm about at the point where I'd like to see the Rockets tear it all the way down to the foundation and start over. For me, it all depends on how they look at the trade deadline. I'm all for miracles and it would be great for T-Ming to prove the doubters wrong, but I'm not a kool aid drinker. It's becoming extremely hard to spin this team as anything other than a floundering mess.
bring in another loser (Darius Miles) to complement the loser we already have (tmac)..............no thanx.........
