Charles Jones, I'm sorry, but you are the fricken umpteenth stupidly unrealistic dreamcaster tonight. Why the hell would chicago trade away Gordan and Tyrus Thomas for an aging tweener? All of you dreamcasters come up with these trades that benefit only the Rocks and then you bash the guys that are coming up with realistic trades like the AK 47 trade. It is hilarious. I can appreciate the realistic trades, please quit the trades where a GM in a random city loses his mind and gives away young talent for a broken old scoring machine. REALISM!
You want realism????
Chicago is the biggest disappointment in the league. They are underperforming and are having major chemistry problems. Tyrus Thomas is regularly in and out of the rotation (to his defense it's not fully his fault). To get T-Mac, one who many consider a top ten player in the league, much higher than Gordon, there is no reason Chicago would not be willing to part ways with Gordon. Top that with the fact that the Lakers were asking for Gordon, Deng, Thomas, and Noah for Kobe. When you compare that to Gordon, Hinrich, and Thomas or even at the worst Gordon and Thomas, it isn't that unrealistic after all
But thank you for using ******* like bashing tacticts, such as calling me stupid, in your attempt to tell me my trades are unrealistic
i came up with that because all these teams need to change all three of these teams have losing records and chicagos line up wouldnt be bad hinrich/carter/battier/deng/wallace and new jerseys line up wouldnt be bad either gordan/jefferson/mcgrady/wright/williams so i would appreciate it if you would not call me a DREAMCASTER and to call the AK47 trade realistic is outrageous jerry sloan wouldnt want tmac if he was healthy
I think the trade is great. Millsap is a hard nosed, tough rebounder/ defender that can score. The perfect YAO compliment at PF. His per 48 is 18.4 pts and 13.5 rbd. with regular minutes I could see that being 13/10 easily. Kirilenko is a do everything defender with offensive skills. Excellent help defender as well. He may be a whiner but he has more passion than T-MAC and James. Giricek shoots 37% from 3. Can hit the open jumper and has decent size. Harpring is tough and is a career 12.5 pt., 5.5 rebound guy with excellent BBall IQ. If anyone remembers from the playoffs he easily took T-MAC down in the post and scored on him. What all these guys can do is hit the open jumper/ play defense and know their roles. Check out tonight's boxscore from the Jazz game.
AHEM....let me apologize
His trade was unrealistic...
sorry for calling you out...when you weren't even ridiculing me
honest mistake
The only way the Rockets come out winning from a TMac trade is if they get Ben Gordon and Tyrus Thomas from the bulls to solidify the PF and PG position. Other than that we might as well keep. My dream lineup would be Gordon Wells Battier Thomas Yao
Players I would like to get for Tmac + other Rockets. Marion/Barbossa from Phoenix Jamison from Washington Hinrich/Gordan from Chicago Those are some that I would personally like to see the Rockets go after whether it involves Tmac or not. DD
If traded, T-Mac should be traded to a team in the Eastern Conferenc. I hope the trade gets done by the end of the year to bring in the new year.
Gordon is not a pg. he's a small 2, like james and francis. He's a great scorer but a high volume/ streaky shooter. Tyrus Thomas is athletic and can block shots but in the end he is another Stromile Swift clone.
Maybe: Aaron Brooks Tracy McGrady Shane Battier for LaMarcus Aldridge Brandon Roy Joel Przybilla Raef Lafrentz Why the Rockets want to do this: - Since we're going by the assumption that the Tmac and Yao system isn't going to work because Tmac grinds the offense to a halt with his need for the ball, we naturally should go after good role players. Aldridge is becoming a beast on offense and Roy has both skills and toughness to become a leader. Joel Przybilla and Raef Lafrentz help to even out the salary aspect of such a trade while providing solid backup for Yao. - Yes, we lose Shane (whom i love) and an intriguing prospect in Aaron Brooks, but you've got to give some to get some. Why the Trailblazers want to do this: - By getting TMac and Shane Battier, they immediately become a force in the west when Oden comes back (if he is everything they say he is). Aaron Brooks can develop under Nate McMillan to become the next Leandro Barbossa/Allen Iverson incarnate - We can also substitute somebody like Mike James/Rafer/Kirk/Scola/Head in. wtv. This is probably wishful thinking seeing how well the Blazers are doing right now. However, if they suddenly hit a slump...
They're team chemistry is great right now, and they are going to be a contender next year. You wont be able to get Aldridge and Roy for Tmac and Shane.
Tmac for Brewer/AK47/Millsap I'm not one to always post trade scenarios, but I think this trade would be reasonable on both teams. Houstons recieves depth in three quality players (and two young guys with potential), and Utah receives the third piece that would put them over the top. This would make them an instant contender, better than Celtics in my opinion. I know it's scary to think of a pissed off TMAC with Boozer and Williams but this is a trade atleast worth considering. Maybe a few minor tweaks here and there with filler players and draft picks. The key is, Houston receives help in two of their weakest positions- young athletic SG with length, and a scrappy PF with size. In any case, the salaries match up for this trade. Obviously the biggest reason this trade wouldn't happen is that we're division rivals. Horrible trade idea. You must be a Jazz spy. This trade will make Jazz the next Celtics. Imagine the combination of TMac/Boozer/D-Will three superstars there.
So u want to make Utah an instant contender and make houston what. I have an idea, why the rox didn't just keep the pick and draft Brewer and sign SAR instead of swift?
The Rockets do not need a legit point guard. I really think that if the Rox had a younger sam cassel on this team it would do wonders. Gordon is similar to a young sam cassel. The reason Head, MJ, an SF have not done more for this team is because they cannot dribble as good as Gordon with their head up. Brooks can do and so can Alston. The Rockets do not need a player to avg more than 6 assists a night. They need a player to play PG that will keep the defense honest while making a decent entry pass to Yao. Last time I checked you do not need to be a PG to make a good entry pass to Yao. Keep in mind that Gordon can create off the dribble, finish strong at the rim, and knock down FTs all day.
AK can't dribble or create his own shot. He would be a Rich Man's Battier. He needs a PG like Deron to set things up for him. He would be useless on our team despite his defense. Brewer can drive but he isn't a shooter, I like Millsap but not for the trade that has been proposed.
I really like your idea but Sloan won't break up his team nuclius for Tmac who's now one of the injury prone player in the NBA.
