    ABSOLUTELY !!!

And this Surfguy just conveniently forgot that it was a back-to-back after another 42 minutes played against Orlando Magic the previous night. Moreover, all night long he played against Marcus Camby and Nareja, some of the best and roughest defensive players......and he fouled them all out at the end !!

What is Yao supposed to do if he misses a GOOD shot? Thats the point of running offensive plays, to get a good shot. Nobody ever makes every shot they take, especially after playing 52 minutes in the Denver thin air. Yao got himself a good shot, even though he was being mauled the entire night and not getting calls and had to face fronting and double teaming all night long. The fact that he was able to get 26 and 19 against the NBA Defensive Player of the Year is incredible considering the situation Yao was in. Its one thing if Yao took bad shots and missed, but that is not the case yday. He took good shots in crunch time, and he missed a couple. Even Jordan used to miss in the clutch sometimes, so did Dream, so did Bird, so does Kobe...etc. Yao is a superstar and he takes that responsiblity and he gave us the best chance to win last night.

Yeah....Tracy MeGrady is the superstar of this team, who opts to quit the team and hide away in the locker room instead of sitting by the courtside to rave and cheer his team mates who all fought like men with passion, energy and intensity with the Denver Nuggets !!

last night was very heartbreaking...I'm glad I saw it, and when Yao made those free throws (He's so money), I thought, finally...

F'n crap...I know its painful but I still believe in this team...We just haven't been able to catch a break...Is a trade the answer? I don't know but something has to happen to spark this team...Maybe this loss will do the trick...

Sometimes Yao doesn't get the respect or credit he deserves. For a true Rockets fan, it's pretty easy to see his contribution to the team.

Even though Yao did not beat his chest or yell, a lot of times I saw him leave everything on the floor. He almost always gives his all.

Why is it so hard for people on this board to understand. As i watch yao and and watch Yao, i said to myself that he does nothing great. A player cant be great when he does nothing great. 6 years later, the same things that plagued him as a 21 yr old, still plagues him as a 27 yr old. Lack of stamina, stregnth and instincts. I see yao getting fronted by a 6'8 guy and still cant get the ball by sealing the guy. I see a guy that doesn't have the energy to chase down a rebound in the 4th when its critical. i see a 7'6 guy fading away at the end for a nearly impossible shot in the 1st ot. He is what he is. A good player that can get by on his skill that can never be great or lead this team. Hell the rerord without T-Mac says it all.

It's hard for people on this board to understand because they have to listen to guys like Doug Collins talk about what a complete package Yao is. The problem, of course, is that the game announcers talk about what a great player Yao is. Who can blame the viewing audience for being confused?

Please put down the crack pipe. He does nothing great?? WTF How about being the best center in the league. What about a 20/10 guy? And Stamina?? The guy played 50 odd minutes on a back to back and put up 26 point 19 boards and 6 dimes while being the main focus of the defense!!! What the hell else do you want the guy to do??It's obious you're a Tracy dick sucker so please Tracy needs to pee so get your face out of the way!!

In that guy's defense...hes right, yao isnt a player i would want to build my team around. Im sorry YOFS, i like yao...he can put up solid numbers, but yao just doesnt have IT (i dont have a word for this but all the greats have it.) The IT that Lebron, Kobe, Steve Nash, TD, and KG have...The last player the rockets had that had "IT" was hakeem...and yao isnt anywhere near hakeems league.

For the foreseeable future the horse race as to the league's best center is down to Yao and Dwight Howard. As far as I can tell none of the guys you mentioned has had any championship success outside of Kobe and that evaporated when Shaq left town. If I could pick and choose my dream team I'd go with the ability to go inside and outside and that means an elite center, which boils down to Yao or Howard right now. "It", whatever that is, can take a second seat to a roster with scoring threats in the paint and along the perimeter.

Only kobe? Uh TD= Tim Duncan and yes he has won multi championships too...anyways, those players might not of won a ship but all of them have been DEEP into the playoffs. Dont get me wrong, i believe yao is THE BEST CENTER in the league right now...but thats just because there almost very little or no competition in NBA centers. Having a team BUILT around him is possible...but can be VERY difficult in this league...theres just very few decent perimeter players that can shoot and compliment yaos game. If yao cant get it done with a bonafide superstar SG then theres something wrong.
