R u nuts, no way they'll make this trade. First of all i still don't think it's the makeup of the roster which is the cause of our bad record. It's just we still havnt found a way to utilize the players together in a better way. So no major trade involving superstars is likely to happen. Secondly, this trade is no good for either team, why would any 2 team make a trade to get worse?
This is like calling a fat person "big boned". However you like to look at it, the problem stems from the offense which leads to the breakdown of the defense. Obviously Rick has been preaching and fine-tuning for a few months now. But the offense is still broke because nobody outside of TMAC and Yao can hit shots consistently. And it seems to be getting worse as the morale and confidence of players slip along with our record. The only way of getting out of this funk is making a few "minor" tweaks in the roster. Bring in a couple of new faces could really light up the team and inspire them to play better basketball. Right now, you can see the dour look on the faces of all the players. They're not buying the system.
I would do this trade in a heartbeat or a new york minute or a um..well anyways can you imagine yao and milsap and Kirilenko on the floor at the same time The opposition wont be able get any lay ups on us. The paint will be closed until further notice.
Do that trade every day of the week and twice on Sundays, man. Rox lose 2 players who don't play, and one who doesn't play even when he does play. In return, they get a backup center (Milsap), a do-everything type (AK), a shooter (Giricek), and a guy sacrifices his body (Harpring). Never happens, though.
so why you think Jazz are fools give up D-W? His untouchable player, and he ranks higher than Yao and TMac in player's ranking.
First, it is risky trading with teams of the same division especially involving top players. Secondly, I am not AK and DeroN Williams add together have sufficient scoring pts compared to TMac. We are already a low scoring team, adding those two will make us score less.
Thank you to Tsunami to added some realism to this thread. NO WAY IN HELL Utah trades Dwill for anyone in the league except LeBron. The first trade is realistic, but I would rather see a Hard PF coming on the to Rockets than another Tweener. Do you remember when we were Hard? Otis Thorpe doing all the dirty work down low so Dream could shine on offense and Blocks. Mad Max staring down MJ every game against the bulls letting him know the Rocks were no fodder. Yao is ultra talented, but until we get some hard players around him, we are SOL.
put down the pipe at once... stop wat u r smoking plz... tracy mcrady IS worth a lebron james in return... so NO TRADE
No, this trade idea is exactly what TMac is worth. I just don't like the particular player in a combo with Yao. TMac for LeBron is what somebody with a tobacco water pipe would come up with.
Do you seriously believe that the Raptors would do that? Their GM will lose his job the next day if he gives up Chris Bosh in this trade.
The reason why Millsap, kirilenko, giricek and harping look so good is because of Sloan. So we need to include Sloan in the deal.
This is spot on, SPOT ON! Keen insight, and exactly why I would'nt do it. Sloan could squeeze honey from a goat anus. Which is exactly what he's been doing for the last 15 years...
99% cases Sloan can do that, the only exception is AK, which is pretty weird. Maybe AK is not that good any way.
He should have the responsibility to do that on his own. Maybe T-Mac's mother! He is still the teenager he was back when he graduated high school and came into the league. Thats what happens when you give millions to an 18 yr old. They feel like they don't need to grow up
