So It was around 3am and I decided to go to sleep. After 10 minutes lying in bed, I felt a tingling sensation at the top of my head, and it slowly started to go down my body and all of a sudden I felt really stressed out and scared. I couldn't move or open my eyes and It felt like I was trapped in a small black box and people were watching me next to my bed. The weird thing was, I knew I was awake (or dreaming???) and I was in my bed. After 10 seconds of struggling, I finally moved a leg and could look around now in an awake state. My friend told me its called sleep paralysis, is he right?
It was definitely "sleep paralysis". Do some searches on it. You can't move, you are awake and you feel like there is a presence in the room. It is a really scary and crazy situation. Happens to me frequently. I have a book about it.
I've stopped breathing 3 or 4 times while sleeping. I remember the first time vividly. In my dream, I knew I couldn't breathe. I was trying to take a breath but I couldn't. I was really struggling. Eventually I woke up and took a huge gasp. I really had gotten myself into some kind of position that closed off my air supply.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis Wikipedia's entry on sleep paralysis. This was what first came to mind after reading your post.
Happened to me once.. I've had heard about it before and I sorta freaked out when it happened. However there wasn't much I could do so I just went back to sleep. I knew I was fully conscious - I could hear and sense everything, I just couldn't open my eyes. Anyway, I heard its when ghosts "pin you down"... Scary stuff.
I've had the dream where ghosts pin you down a number of times. Very scary. Sleep paralysis my ass. It's ghosts or aliens.
i died in my dreams once, i fell and died. simple death. i thought you cant die in your dream? anyway, you have that emily rose thing, good luck.
That happens to me every once in a while. Happens to me more when I sleep in a very uncomfortable position, like in a car. I'm half awake, but I can't move.
i've had that happen a few times. it really is not a very pleasant feeling...i get pretty frickin scared when it happens. it's scary because youre awake but not really and your dreams are still there too. it's not a cool mix. i also think very stupid things when it happens. the first time it happened i was like 16 and i thought that god was making me not move to punish me for not going to church enough.
Don't worry, I know these things always happen to people that I balled during the day. The utter ownage that I befall upon them usually comes back to haunt them at night.
